Any help for me yet? =( lol. I'm guessing I'd need the drivers as well, but it doesn't make sense that the standalone mic would work, but as soon as i plug the headset mic into the same jack..nothing.

Does the headset mic work if you plug it into another pc or recording device?

Well I tried to plug it into a laptop in the correct jack and still got nothing.

verify you should be getting something on the laptop by following some of the steps previously posted, I personally test with Sound Recorder since it is readily available. If you do all that and still get nothing with this mic but the other mic does work, I say the mic in question is defective and needs to be replaced.
