BF2142 Sanity Check Error - Page 2

Ever get this fixed? I just started getting it when ever it trys to load cerbere landing. Just started tonight.

UPDATE: I joined a server with a different map, let it load and then I was able to load cerbere on TG.

Oiy, forgot there were 2 sanity error threads. So here's what I just posted in the other one:

Okay I went and searched deeper into this problem. (About a good 2 weeks of research)

And I can conclude it's either virus/malware on your system or a hardware conflict. I think the problem lies in having the right drivers installed for each piece of your hardware. My suggestion would be to go through every single piece of hardware in your machine and make sure you have the proper drivers installed. I don't recommend using the generic Windows drivers, unless your piece of hardware no longer has tailored drivers (from manufacturer or otherwise).

the game was working 2 hours before and now suddenly half way loading through the game, i get that, and i got it to load once but i got like 15 FPS for some reason, now it loads and gets stuck at halfway

WTF KIND OF ERROR IS THAT?! DOESN'T SEEM SANE?!?! OMG i got 2GB of ram it says 4GB... maybe it means something else

its not my specs, cause i had this for over a year.

i also checked Google for answers, some say a lot of people have this problem with BF2 and some on BF2142, some say delete a file called Overgrowth? or it's a BF modification?

i didn't DL any modifications for 2142, and i don't know what or where Overgrowth is,

Well I've been to the EA BF2142 forum and like almost all the topics are about not being able to load, so I'm guessing a patch will be out soon to correct this error. On the EA forum, people tried to find fixes, some worked for others mostly failed for the most. Ah well, cya when I cya.

My standard response, at least in a case like this, is to start eliminating possibilities. The fastest possibility to check is drivers. I'd verify that you have the latest drivers, especially video card drivers as those tend to screw things up the most and the fastest. If it is not a driver issue, then your next step is to reinstall the game itself and re-patch. If that doesn't help, then the problem is either a conflict with another program or a hardware conflict -- the first can be fixed either by trial and error or by a fresh reformat/reinstall and the second... well, if the drivers are up to date, then you may have a damaged card somewhere on board.

That's all I can think to recommend... I've never seen a problem like that before and, to me, it strikes me as being a config file error, which a reinstall would solve.

I know that my options may sound harsh or extreme, but if your searching isn't turning up anything else, then these are the options I see.

Okay, so now I got the error. I tried the security patch resolution and now instead of getting the error box the thing just freezes after loading a map about 2/3 of the way through without any error messages. The music still plays and the walker icon still moves, but it does not laod the map anymore.

i was disscussing this with my rice crispies and they said to raise your hard drive up above the monitor. cant see how this will help but they seem to know better than me. Anyway i got a run for a bit my neighbors dog called and want me to go to a new church with him.

EDIT: Figured it out. The first time it was a Sanity Check error. I guess it corrupted a file as this corrected it:
