ATI just released Catalyst 7.2 drivers for both XP and Vista on 2/21/2007. have you applied these updates yet? According to the patch notes there is some significant optimization increases on the Vista side.

I did the exact opposite to this. I'm running 32bit Vista.

The error I had was "please insert bf2142 install disc and click ok to retry"

I unchecked the compatibility box and everything runs perfectly now.

Never did get Vista to work with BF2 and or 2142 that why i left for alittle while,, well 1 of the reasons.

was running Vista home prem 64

built a new machine loaded XP Pro 64 and havent had 1 problem.....

the vista rig just sits and crunchs data for research now,, nothing more

and it has a Q6600 in it
