The 10 New Unlocks

Okay, I've been pondering this for sometime...

Since the NS booster adds 10 new unlocks (5 available through 1.20 patch), is a player able to unlock everything in the normal 2142 and the booster pack, or are we still limited to 40 unlocks? And if we can unlock those, then how does it work out? Is there some point total you need to aquire for each?

im sure someone will explain it fully but from what i can gather, you gain unlock points for getting badges and pins in NS. You can still unlock them in vanilla but you wont be able to get everything as you wont be able to get the NS badges and stuff (i could be wrong)

Yep you get unlock points from awards which you can only acquire when bought Northern Strike. These unlock points are no different from the normal ones so you can either use them on the normal unlock trees or the NS ones. On the other hand, you can use your unlock points gain from advancing in rank to unlock NS stuff too (but you will obviously need to buy NS to do this). This is what I understood but I'm not sure if this is completely correct either.

Yup, they're pretty much on the ball there, Acreo. And one assault-spec to another: even toss up on which NS unlock to get first: the boots, or adv. rifle mags. Both are VERY VERY nice.

Hmm. Well I'm still a good 20 away from the max of 50. So I do want all of player abillities and sl as well as all of assault...eh what the hey. I want every single unlock. I'm switch kits everytime the situation or mood changes.

I just wish the Turcotte SMG was a primary or secondary for assault kit. Love that thing.
