Re: How to move the pods when spawning on a beacon
That is true. You have to set your mouse sensitivity really high then continuously move the mouse left or right (as in go right as far as you can, pick up the mouse, place it on the left, then move the mouse to the right again, repeat).

Re: How to move the pods when spawning on a beacon
so that is really how you do it? i thought you had to do circles...
I have found a server where all the clan members do is "pod hop" to buildings and then just start new squads at each building. The server name is something like =W= 24/7 Berlin. Its pretty insane all the stuff that happens in that server |

You have to do half circles. As you turn 180 from side to side, you will move away from the direction you are facing.

Re: How to move the pods when spawning on a beacon
I have a Mx510 and can move the pod just fine. I just messed with my settings (sensitivity) in setup until it worked. I change nothing in-game. I swing my pod left to right 90 to 120 degrees and I move backwards. It's a slow motion for me, not a fast one.

Re: How to move the pods when spawning on a beacon
is it really necessary to do this?
I'm so good that I can own without moving the pods heheheh. Actually this is pretty cool, but nothing says exploit more than moving things that shouldn't be movable.

Re: How to move the pods when spawning on a beacon
Has anyone actually found out how fari it is possible to move the pods? I think if you got lucky you could travel a few hundred metres which means jumping behind enemy lines would be come so easy. :\
p.s Razer Copperhead moves the pod like a dream ![]()

Re: How to move the pods when spawning on a beacon
Interesting tactic, but it does seem massivley unfair if your PAC since the EU can't do it back at the beggining. Maybe there should be a rule stopping it.

Re: How to move the pods when spawning on a beacon
I don't pod spin to often. Being ontop of a building doesn't give you to much of an advantage because when you approach the edge of it to shoot down you stick out like a sore thumb to snipers on the ground.

Re: How to move the pods when spawning on a beacon
A while back i searched all over for an answer to pod steering. after searching through EA forums I found a post from a DEV that said that being able to move the beacon pod was intentional. what was not intentional were the effect of ramming up sensitivity to fishtail across a whole map. I really should have bookmarked that thread...
most gaming leagues allow pod steering. what is not allowed is sensitivity mashing where you can fishtail the thing clear across the map. EA made changes in the last patch to stop that particular exploit, but left in the ability to steer the pods. they are very easy to steer a considerable distance. the worst thing you can do with them is use them to get on a rooftop for the sake of camping. but for getting past enemy lines, they really could open up the game of more did this. for example, I can drop a beacon out in front of toll and land behind the wall between toll and central camp gibraltar. I can drop a beacon on the awning north of roadblock and land on the roof of outpost on cereber landing. I can drop a beacon between powerstation and junkyard in tunis and land right on either flag. I can do this reliably (meaning i can land it pretty much exactly where I expect to land, without much effort, and without changing sensitivity. I typically do not do this simply because it feels wrong since I know most other people dont do it.

Re: How to move the pods when spawning on a beacon
Hmmm...interesting. I was wondering how you steer those damn things. I can make mine go straight down pretty good...but that is about it
![]() Will have to play around with this...sans sensitivity mashing though. Cheers, |

Re: How to move the pods when spawning on a beacon
Definitely a good thing to move your pod a bit if your drop point is HOT. Maybe you can land behind them and surprise the 'campers', for lack of a better word (not saying they're camping a spawn).
