Red face Unlocks : in quest of an advice

Hello all (and thanks for this forum )

I'm looking for an advice

I'm actually nearly Warrant Officer Silver (about 200 to go)

I have unlocked everything in Support, nearly everything in Assault (I didn't take the radar grenade) and everything in general-player.
Now, I have 3 (4 soon) unlock and I'm wondering : should I go SL or start working on another career (I tried RDX and Lambert one day when I found a backpack and liked them) ?
I really can't manage to make my mind so I decided to come here and ask for good (or so I hope ) advices.

Thanks by advance.

P.S. : btw, I hope you'll forgive my english.

Re: Unlocks : in quest of an advice

first off, You'll get everything sooner or later. So no choice is the wrong awnser. Get what you want. Are you going to SL and enjoy it? Then unlock that branch. Atleast get the squad beacon so you can equip it on all your kits incase you are forced to SL(SL crashes) or the SL picks up your kit on a revive. Everyone should always carry a Odus or squad beacon.

Recon is a fun tree, but used more sparingly then a engineer. Motion mines are a must on small maps with one tank, APC and FAV's. Recons are great for defence of flags and choke points with the explosives and I believe this is not used effectively as it can be.

Get the SLSB frist. Then choose your other route to what suits you.

Re: Unlocks : in quest of an advice

Like Eroak said, go for squad leader first (for beacon or otus) and then my advice is to go engineer since recon isn't really worth it, especially not when playing in a squad. Engineer, on the other hand, is well worth it because you might expect squad leaders to say you need to spawn engineer to take some enemy armor out. Also, I'd go for the motion mine tree first and then the pilum tree, because motion mines are a must for every engineer.

I'm go with SLB then engy. I can't tell you how many times I've needed a Pilum and not had it. LUckily, if I get a field upgrade and can unlock both the Pilum and Sniper rifle. I'd also at least get RDX so you can blow assets which is something I find very important. Actually, RDX is awesome IF you can be patient. If I'm defending Berlin and see Vendi on the other team, well, lets just say his squad needs to be ready for some death.

Re: Unlocks : in quest of an advice

Squad Leader beacon first and foremost - it is a must and everyone should make it a habit to equip in all of your kits regardless of whether or not you plan to Squad Lead.

After that, I'd say engineer tree, then it's between the other Squad Leader beacons and Recon (I ignored the sniper branch totaly and rely on field unlocks for APMs, which I rarely use).

my $.02
