I've just bought a new headset but I can't talk to you guys - I've gone through the booklet and yet nothing it suggests works - what hot keys do you use to get the dialog started?
Please help - I spent alot of money on this set just to talk to you guys, I hope you can help. |

Re: How do I talk to you?
Well, the default button to talk is V.
Kidding aside, have you:
That's about all I can think of to fix. If those don't work, we got some super computer fixy people around here somewhere.

Re: How do I talk to you?
I have found that much more important than the mic itself is the soundcard it goes into. onboard sound often has static.
that being said, you dont need to sound awesome, you just need to be loud and clear enough to be understood. for the most part, any old cheapo mic will do.

Re: How do I talk to you?
okay, I'll share one of my absent minded situations. When I first got my headset and plugged I was pretty upset it was not working. Come to find out I was not pushing the plung all the way in. I pushed it in a little harder than what I thought was necessary and boom, my loud mouth is bellowing out of the speakers. Just make sure you got them plugged in all the way. The speakers worked, which is why I thought the mic should be working but, the mic would not work without being plugged in all the way.
