1.25 Patch Issue
Hey guys this is my first post ever on TG. Im having a problem with the new patch can anyone help?
When I try to install the battlefield 2142 1.25 patch from the EA link it gets to the point where the entire install bar is lit up and it looks installed, but then when I try to play the game it still says I have to install a patch. I have been all over the place, and I cant find a solution to this problem any where. |

Re: 1.25 Patch Issue
I installed the 1.25 patch Wed, played conquest and all is fine. Sat. night I play Titan and when I enter the interior of both my and the enemy ships it goes black. I can see men and the symbols above the heads moving about and when the core doors open I can see the core but nothing else. I can move and shoot, but keep running into things. Anyone else have this happen to them?

Re: 1.25 Patch Issue
i haven't had any of the listed problems above (yet) but have been experiencing crash freezes a bit too often after the 1.25 patch. they have occured at different times while playing, sometimes only a moment or matter of seconds into a match, or even as soon as a map loads and i'm about to prepare my items. half the time i am able to alt-tab and kill the process which shows the game as not responding, other times i am forced to reset. i didn't figure i should make a new thread for these comments, but i also don't mean to hijack. anyone else having similar issues?

Re: 1.25 Patch Issue
In reading about this issue on ea's forums, it sounds like if you turn down your dynamic lighting this should cure the blackout on the titans issue.
Good Luck

Re: 1.25 Patch Issue
Wed. and Thur. evenings I spent some time on an empty Titan server playing with video settings. Thank you for the heads up about the Dynamic Lights settings. I had read in the EA Forums about the Lighting setting. This is what I learned playing with the settings.
Before I did the 1.25 patch my Lighting setting was set to Low. After I did the patch when I entered the interior of the Titan all was black except for personal, doors, shields, control panels and core. By moving the Lighting control to Medium the Titan was back to normal. But I was back to having trouble seeing in the shadows everywhere. I then moved the Lighting control to Low and moved the Dynamic Light from Low or Medium to Off, the Titan is normal and I can see in the shadows. A happy camper. I use a CRT monitor, love basking in the radiation, but have a 15" LCD display that I use when I drag my game box around. I had noticed that the LCD display did not seem to give me as much problems seeing in the shadows. I need to set up both monitors with a switch and do some A/B comparisons. And get back here with some questions and or observations. Then again maybe most folks are using LCDs do not have a problem. |
