Indestructible spawn beacons?

Have a question, and btw this did not happen on TG. I was playing a Titan map and the other team had placed a Beacon on top of our Titan. I went to destroy it and ended up dumping two whole clips into it. It would not blow up. It was out in the open nothing in the way. I gave up on it and found another beacon and same result, I could not destroy it.

Later I switched to another server completely different players and same issue. I could not destroy an enemy beacon but this time it was on the ground and not the titan. Is this a new exploit, glitch, or ahem… feature?

Re: Indestructible spawn beacons?

sometimes when a beacon is placed on a titan it somehow "fuses" with the titan, so when your shooting at the beacon it registers it as the titan hull and thus will do no damage.

Re: Indestructible spawn beacons?

I've had it happen to me about 3 times on TG server, mostly on Carebere in bushes.

Re: Indestructible spawn beacons?

This seems to be a pretty know issue according to the EA boards that the spawn beacon on a titan is indestructable. Whether Dice will correct this in future patches is to be seen. You can always toss a ammo or health crate on the beacon which will render it un-usable until the crate dissapears but that is only temporary.

Re: Indestructible spawn beacons?

Thanks guys. I was unaware of what you have just explained. I did do the supply crate trick on the first beacon, but I was SOL on the second one I found.

Re: Indestructible spawn beacons?

You can make a scanner indestructable by sticking it to an APC wheel. It has a low chance of working though. I think it has to do with the difference in the physics model and the actual model you see. Probally the same forces at work in this case here.
