Also playing BF2

Okay, quick question. I picked up BF2, after some urging by Troublesome4u, and I was wondering if being a supporting member gave me a reserved slot on the TG POE and PR servers? I never got the chance to play BF2 and just dove right into 2142. Troublesome isn't the first to tell me that I missed out on a lot and I figured for 25 bucks it would not hurt to see what the hype is about. Thanks everyone.

Yep it will indeed. Altough in Battlefield 2 you won't have the same player ID you do in 2142. In this post you can read how to find your BF 2 Player ID, if you found out what it is, you can enter it in your profile.

Thanks, I will be joining the POE Friday. Just got done playing a couple rounds of vanilla, it was fairly decent. Can't wait to try POE.

After seeing so many videos and screenshots of BF2 I've decided I'm going to give it a try as well. This is especially true after reading about the new POE release.

Awesome! You guys will have a blast. The main difference between 2142/Vanilla BF2 and PoE2 is that there's no UAV, Scan, or CO Artillery. This means there's a lot more sneaking around that can be done, so watch your backs

Plus longer round times, longer spawn times, etc. Different game, with many other strategic options than just killkillkill!

True, that's why I love PoE, I'm definitely joining in again with the new patch!

I've been jumping around on random vanilla servers sniping a lot lately, but DVD drive seems to have crapped out on me, so haven't played in a week. I'm gonna fiddle around and see if I have any extra drives around to join people on the POE server, I've only played it like once and it seemed interesting.

Oh man, no CO Artillery would be nice. The few rounds I played I found the artillery to constantly be coming my way. Everytime I started capping a flag, next thing I hearing is boom boom boom, MEDIC! It was still fun though. Can't wait for tomorrow!

No co commanded artillery on POE...There is an artillery piece but it's controlled by specific players and must be used in conjunction with a spotter. it's neat and you almost never have artillery spam like in vanilla...that's what drove lots of players off of Vanilla BF2.

Actually, you won't need the spotter any more... but it will definitely help
