I thought I would share the shortcut I've been using to launch TeamSpeak. It is a slightly modified version version of the link found in step 10 of the
TG TeamSpeak page. This shortcut launches TeamSpeak, connects to and logs into the
TG TeamSpeak server and then places me in the "9th MID" subchannel of the "In-House Squads Channels" channel.
teamspeak://67.19.106.94/nickname=NICKNAME?loginname=LOGIN_NAME?password=PASSWORD?channel="DEFAULT_CHANNEL"?subchannel=DEFAULT_SUBCHANNEL
Replace the
red bolded words with your specific information.
*Edit* There is no need to encode spaces (i.e. %20 or )
NICKNAME: The display name shown in TeamSpeak, mine is typcially "|
TG-9th| Lorax74 - Rob", without the quotes.
LOGIN_NAME: The ID used to to connect to the TeamSpeak server. It can be found
here incase you are unsure what it is.
PASSWORD: I would hope this one is self explanatory.
DEFAULT_CHANNEL: The top level , or parent, channel that contains the subchannel you want to start in. Mine reads "In-House Squads Channels", some might like to use the 2142 channel. For some reason I found the need to quote this parameter.
DEFAULT_SUBCHANNEL: The sub, or child, of the channel listed above. Mine is "9th MID". This isn't always needed, depending on where you want to go.
I have put this in a shortcut and included it in my "Startup" folder for quite some time now and haven't had any issues with it. Now I have no excuse why I'm not on TeamSpeak...
