My Questions, I'm new
I'm new and confused, I've most of the material in the: "Battlefield 2142 - Official Rules, Announcements & SOPs" category, but still have some questions, I would really like it if they could be answered, and I know some of them might sound stupid, especially the 1st one, but i would really appreciate answers, and I'm sure most people know the answers.
1. Is this a proper clan, or just a group of people that like to play a certain way.
2. If so, why is it so easy to join this clan? Or am I just a member of the forum, I'm so confused...
3. What is the teamspeak address.
4. What is the server IP.
5. All of these different squads like 7th, how do I become part of them, and what do they all mean, why are certain squads different?
6. Do I put TG now on my clan tag?
7. I've never really played with a properly organized squad before, will I get kicked or banned from your servers for accidentally not following orders properly.
8.Do you also use XFire?
Sorry for these questions, but I'm finding it hard to get definitive answers. Thanks to everyone who replies, in advance. And also thanks for being patient and friendly enough to actually take the time to read and answer this.
Also, sorry for posting this in every topic, but I really need some answers, I hope it doesn't count as spamming.Last edited by SharinganTH1422; 08-01-2007 at 09:02 AM. Reason: forgot to write soemthing in the 1st place at the end

Re: My Questions, I'm new
Hey welcome,
1: This is not a clan, but a community
2: If you are member of the forums, you're part of the community too - and for some players, playing as a team isn't that easy, believe me
3: 67.19.106.94:8767
4: Check all the TG server IP's here
5: They all have different joining regulations, but one who rule every Inhouse Squad (that's what they're called) is is that you need to be Supporting Member. (that means you pay a monthly fee but you get a reserved slot on the server, TG webspace, TG email account etc.). More information about the different squads can be found here. Also, there's one exception on the Supporting Member rule, and that's the Irregulars. This is the only IHS which doesn't have this requirement. The Irregs is also a good place to start when you like to learn about playing as a team and such.
6: If you obey to all our rules and SOP's and you would like to, you can, yes.
7: No you won't. Just try to stick with the Squad Leader and follow orders (they will tell you if you're doing something wrong and they will point you in the right direction). Just don't go Jihad-Jeeping and Baseraping, because those are serious offenses and are not tolerated here (together with some others which you will probably have already read about in the stickies)
8: I do --> concr3te
edit: Erm.. It does count as spamming, why post the same message in each forum time and time again? It's not like we won't read it. Oh well, don't worry about it, it happens.Last edited by Concr3te; 08-01-2007 at 09:24 AM.

Concr3te
Thanks loads for the help dude, people on here are cool, I don't think I'll be posting on every forum again, I just wanted these questions answered, so I thought it would get a little more noticed if I just posted it once on every section. Sorry about that, but really, thanks loads for the answers.

Re: My Questions, I'm new
erm, by the way, another quick question, how do i know when TG are going to go up against a clan, how can I turn up for it? And how can I talk to other TG members, e.g. I thought we could maybe go invade a pub server, could I just tell them over VOIP/teamspeak?

Re: My Questions, I'm new
Of course you can always ask on TS is someone's up for a pub raid
We are in for a challenge (well... challenge?) most of the time so just ask us.
And scrimmages (either TG vs a clan or TG vs other TG'ers) are usually announced in the forums of the corresponding game.

Re: My Questions, I'm new
- Tactical Gamer > FAQ > About Tactical Gamer (Community vs Clan)
- As Concr3te implied, some people find it very easy to throw on the tags and say they are a member of TG, but their actions and attitudes in the game and/or forum say differently. See point 6 for further clarification.
- TeamSpeak
- TG Server List
- TG Sponsored Squad (aka In House Squad)
- If you abide by and honor the rules, SOPs, etc then yes, please do.
- Unless you make a habit of failing to follow Squad Leader orders, you won't be kicked.

Re: My Questions, I'm new
Can i play the TG way, and be an involved TG memeber, without joining one of those In House Squads?

Re: My Questions, I'm new
ok, good, cause I have no money, and I'm not the type of person to dedicate myself to a clan, I'll play the TG way whenever I play, and I'll proudly put the TG clan tag infront of my name, and scrim with fellow TGers, but I don't think I'll join one of these clans, I think it might be putting to much pressure on me, and i already feel pressured when I'm playing a normal match,

Re: My Questions, I'm new
Just join us and start kicking some serious a$$! Don't be discouraged if you get kicked from the server for a supporting member(only 10$ per month), the script is indiscriminant and I believe kicks the non-supporting player that has been in the server the longest. The best way to enjoy our servers is to be a supporting memeber(only 10$ per month). Nothing beats the feeling of sitting down for a good game with TG-er's, seeing a full server and clicking "join".....someone gets kicked and I get to play(only 10$ per month).
YEAH!!!!
