I very rarely get the "recruit bug" but I always seem to get it upon TG server I was just wondering what could be causing it to happen on one specific server?

I may be the only one but I am not sure what you are referring to. Maybe you should provide more detail. What is the "recruit" bug?

It is when it shows your rank as recruit and you don't have any of your unlocks. The good thing about it is you can get all your badges again and get all the points, or at least it lets me do that.

I seem to get this a lot but rarely do I not have my unlocks when it happens. It is cool getting the ribbons again though.

I forget which ribbon it is, but I've had to have gotten it around 14 times now. Reconnecting will always solve the recruit bug, but it is such a pain. I've been very lucky last few months, only time its happened was this past week.

My favorite version of the recruit bug is when you keep your unlocks, but it shows you as a private and you can reget all your badges. Easy rank ups then.

It happens randomly in all servers, I've never noticed getting it more often in the TG server. It might be just perception.

Yes, the no-unlock bug is annoying as all get out. Just reconnect to the server it will usually clear up in one try. And, can we stop discussing exploiting a bug for extra points?

Heh, sorry Waffle, it didn't matter to me because I don't need anymore.

I've been trying to figure out what causes these bugs. I think most of the times I've gotten the recruit bug has been when I've been on a server then disconnected and quickly joined another.

My guess is that when you connect to the server it hits the EA master player DB to check your unlock status and rank. If that query times out or returns corrupt data the server will not be able to establish your state of unlocks and automatically set you to the default with no rank.

I used to get it all the time, but still have my unlocks. Which was awesome cause I would get the 2000 point ribbon every round.

Yea, it is probably wrong but I'm not reloading the server if I have my unlocks and when I am actually on the right team. 9 out of 10 times when I load without unlocks but on the right team and have to reload, I get stuck on the other team for a few rounds.

Plus I'm general now and not really worried about the points but seeing the ribbons flash by again provides somewhat of boost.

I play on the TG server and on the SP ATW server. I think i only get the recruit bug on the TG server. A reconnect like everybody says fixes it.
