Initial game server connect fails:

Ever since I have installed ProMod to play in the TGL matches, I've noticed that when in normal 2142, my first conenction attempt to any server fails. This isn't a huge problem, because the second attempt always succeeds (unless server is full etc) but it's annoying. A verbal mention on TS one night got a lot of similar complaints. Anyone know why this is, or how I can fix it?

I dont know that this is connected with your pro mod. This started happening to me as well and I do not have pro mod on my system. It just started about 2 weeks ago and I don't think I made any changes to my system at all. I thought it was just a bit weird but hell considering the other bugs that crop up with this game I thought it was just par for the course. Oh well, annoying but not horrible. I will be interested to see if anyone else has this and figgured out how to fix it.

Aye, same thing here. I'm just ignoring everything thats wrong with the game unless it fully prevents me from playing.

I think it started for me when we switched to the new conquest server. The server always shows up as red and errored out in my favorites list and getting connected to it is a PITA because I keep failing.

Its not a lag issue either because when I'm in I hover around 90-95 ping.

Its been around for quite some time. It happens to most everyone, regardless of pro-mod or any system changes.

It is most definetly something to do with the EA master server
