Conquest is acting weird - Page 2

It seems that I've been booted from the conquest server every other round or so recently. If I'm lucky, I'll go three rounds without getting the "There is a problem with your connection" message and being kicked back to the main menu. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it, either; sometimes it's at the beginning of the round, sometimes halfway through, sometimes right at the end. It's getting so bad I almost don't want to play. I never had these problems with the old server. Does anybody have any idea what's going on?

Arithea, I find that when I reboot my machine right before I play on TG Conquest, I don't have any problems. If I leave the game I reboot before I play. This seems to have taken care of all my problems with the TG Conquest server. I don't have this problem anywhere else, but becuase I am a loyal player, I work around it.

If the problem persists, write down the exact time that it happened and post it in here, or you can send it to an admin.

This is why I created this thread so admins can use this information.

The only thing I really do with my home PC is play Battlefield (and sometimes check my email), so I've usually just booted my computer before signing on. Also, I think I might be having some heat issues with my video card; the game sometimes freezes my computer right after a map loads or while there's a lot going on on the screen, which forces me to do a hard reboot. Thanks for the tip, though.

It's gotten marginally better in the past day or so, but that could just be because there haven't been as many people playing. If it doesn't get better this weekend, I plan on keeping track of when/how often it happens and letting an admin know (probably Eroak).

I've noticed the new server crashes a lot. The upside to this is I get to play Tunis 16 a lot but it does get frustrating as the map rotation starts over..

yea, it usually crashes when you are having a great round! One thing I have noticed continually, is that everyone's ping is jumping around a lot. Mine will go from 50 to 130, I've seen Moxmax's jump the most, sometimes from 10 to 1024, these jumps happen randomly throughout the rounds.

try 150 to 221,587,219.

I'm not joking, it doesn't happen so much now, it usually goes to about 150-~700 max. Still, it gets me punkbusted off most servers.

If it happens on most servers it is probably your IP, the jumping that happens to Mox and I only happens on the TG server.

I thought I was the only one having problems!! I almost done a re-install of my whole pc. I love playing on the TG servers and when these problem crashes started to happen I was convinced it was just me. I had 3 of these Punkbuster boots last night between 10pm and 12pm (gmt)

also, has anyone noticed how, if you put the TG server on your favourites, it will show up differently than in search?

Yeah, I noticed that before. I just put it down to the favourites list showing you the stats from the last time you played.

seems that it loads it once, when you log in, and then doesn't update them again.

ye all favourites are like that for me its really annoying I usually Alt-Tab out and have a look-see on xfire

I seem to be lucky that my ping doesn't have much bearing on how much I lag, but above 200, it gets bad, 400+ is unplayable
