Sig troubles

I'm trying to get a xfire profile into my sig but every time I try I get a message saying 'invalid image'. Ive also tryed a BF2142 stats sig as well but to no avail. I'm just copy and paste the BB code from both websites. What am I doing wrong?

try using the url code

[url= URL GOES HERE] text text text [ /url]

PS. no spaces except in the text if containing more than one word.

Sorry I can't post URLs yet, I'm just copy and pasting the link from xfire from when you are in your profile click the link just above your player details and I'm copying the link from there.

you can only use images!, so what you need to do is when you get the BB code, just use the bit that starts with [img/////] ignor the /////

bity majigery thing, if you get what i mean

Sorry if that was no help at all, but if you were to speak to another web developer im sure that he could tell you that he understood all of it

Think I know what you mean but it didn't work, it still says invalid image. It is definitely a proper URL. Frustrating!!!

It looks like it's working now. Perhaps you were having trouble because you had not hit the 15 post mark yet. <shrug>

Well looks like Daithi1 found out the hard way.

You currently need 15 posts in order to post a image. (Think it was higher when I joined)

Still doesn't work, it appears when I post the code in the forums but I still get invalid file when I try to add a sig.

I'd like to revive this thread as I have recently done basic infantry training and can't put the badge in my sig...

I'm pasting the URL into the option 1 box.

Another strange thing is it asks me do I want to delete my present sig which is the badge but it doesnt show up very maddening!!

Post the code you are attempting to use within a set of NOPARSE tags please.

Wrap the NOPARSE and /NOPARSE tags in brackets to get them to work. Also, if you are using "Option 1" or "Option 2", make sure you include [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] in your sig to display the image.

Thanks for the move Zoraster.

After seeing Lorax's sig code I worked out how to do it.

Also when I put in URL tags (to link to my xfire profile) in, it told me BB code url was allowed, but I see Lorax has url

This is what I'd like to post.
