Re: Loading problems

Few methods of fixing this: reinstalling the whole game, and deleting a certain file that gets corrupted.

Check out this thread: http://www.tacticalgamer.com/battlef...-map-load.html

Explains how to fix a buncha issues.

Re: Loading problems

Yeah, I had that issue. First time I re-installed the game, fixed it for a month or so. Then it happened again, and I re-ran the 1.25 patch on EA link. That fixed it too, and it hasn't bugged me since.

Re: Loading problems

Just started getting "memory sanity check errors" with the Cerbere Landing map, myself.

My RAM is absolutely fine. Did a memtest on it the other night with no problems. I've given up on this game and it's completely wacky bugs. :P

Re: Loading problems

Same problem here. Reinstalling did not fix it. This fixed it for me (plagerized from http://forums.ea.com/mboards/thread....893&tstart=0):

Here is the fix that works for the map loading freeze.

1) Go to your BF2142 folder, mine is C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142

2) Locate the file radial.cdb

If you do not see this file in the folder then you need to go to folder options tell Windows to show hidden files, the file will not appear. You also (or instead) have to uncheck the box just a little bit below it, which is "Hide protected operating system files".

3) Rename the file to oradial.cdb and start your game.

For some reason this is a protected file and will not show if you ask to show hidden files.

The game will create a new radial.cbd file on it's own.

This does work and should only take less than 5 min to fix on your own.

You're just plagiarizing all over the place today now

Re: Loading problems

I have a somewhat similar problem, but it's different.

When i first boot up BF2142 (BF2/POE2), the first server i try to connect to will say that i had lost connection with the server. The second time i try to connect to the server, the load works just fine. In BF2142, it will load up the map, but when the server changes the map, the load will freeze up 50% and i have to Ctrl+Alt+Del it and reload the game.

It is no doubt very similar, and this method will probably fix it.

Re: Loading problems

I have had it happen on other servers as well, not just ours.
