Help: My HUD goes funny sometimes while playing.

Thought I'd throw this out there since I am having problems with my game HUD acting up and can't find any other posts about this problem.

When I am playing sometimes my flag icons on my HUD dissappear...it's not that big of a deal I know, but as a SL I find it so much quicker to just throw my cursor over them and issue the order then having to call up my map.

The problem lasts the whole round but between rounds it sometimes fixes itself, and sometimes not (maybe only on map changes...not sure).

Anyone else had this problem, know what might cause it?

i have had this problem, only a few times, always self correcting eventually.

Seemed to me that they only disappeared when i was near the flag (with in 100m)

I think its just a random glitch, as i havent heard of anyone else with this besides me (and now you)

In BF2, that's called "3d map". Check your controls - you're probably pressing a button that's toggling "3d map" on and off. (I just unbind that, since I never turn it off)

I'm getting that problem once in a while too. First, try if pressing alt works, because pressing alt makes your icons disappear. (like Whiskey said, it makes the 3d map disappear) If it doesn't, it's just the game.

I used to have the same problem until someone pointed out to me that using the left alt button as my TeamSpeak press to talk button was the issue.

Well there you go, I use the left alt button for teamspeak, so another mystery is solved...thanks everyone.

"T" key (as if you were going to set an order) will also make the flags re-appear. Just press it once, the flags show up again, then set your order as you normally would.

Only time I've ever seen it happen is when I get revived and my minimap will disappear but after I respawn then I'm ok.

To solve your mini map disappearing double tap caps lock. It should then shrink back into place.
