    BF2142Pace.exe

Not sure if anyone has seen this problem, but I'm getting a unique issue here.
I installed my CD copy of BF2142 and was getting memory.dll errors when maps would change, and the game would CTD with a memory.dll error.

I reinstalled my game, but I used the EA Link version and now I'm getting a BF2142Pace.exe has stopped working CTD error.

I tried all types of reinstalling and nothing has seemed to work. Any help would be great, it's starting to get annoying now having to restart when a map changes. Although with the BF2142Pace.exe error it usually only crashes on a map change, and the memory.dll error crashed whenever it wanted to.

    My current computer specs are:
    Windows Vista Home Premium
    Asus Striker Extreme (Motherboard)
    Creative X-Fi Fatality XtremeGamer
    eVGA 8800GTX / eVGA 8800GTX (SLI)
    Intel QuadCore Qx6700
    2GB Corsair XMS
    WD Raptors on Raid (300gb)

Well, I tried all of the things you said but none of them worked oddly.

    1. Patch doesn't have anything for Vista.

    2. I've installed the nVidia RAID drivers, BF2142 seems to be the only game which has a problem at the moment. Unfortunately when I try to download SATA drivers from Asus for my motherboard, which I forgot to mention is an Asus Striker Extreme, when I try to install the Vista 32 bit drivers, it gives me an error telling me that it's for the wrong Operating System. Also, I haven't seen any memory sanity errors, only a "BF2142Pace.exe has stopped working".

    3. I'm doing that right now, and I'm going to restart after this post and the this DX10 SLI hotfix is done installing.

    4. I download this hotfix but an error message stops me before it installs telling me "This update does not apply to your system".

    5. I looked for this file and it wasn't on my system.

    6. I have up to date drivers, and my onboard audio is set to off in the BIOS.

    - Thanks for the quick response, will try to figure some more stuff out to see if I can troubleshoot this a bit more.

What about 7., it's the most successful fix for these issues....
Hmm.. didn't see number seven, I just did that now. Also, I redownloaded the Vista-32 Hotfix from that link, and it's still telling me "Does not apply with this system".

I'm sure, I purchased the Vista 32Bit OEM System Builders disk. Also, I don't think it says anything about not being the right OS, but maybe the hotfix was already installed in a later Windows Update?

Alright, restarted the computer. A new error is occuring though. I used to have the PunkBusterA.exe communication error, but it was fixed with pbsvc.exe. Now, I have the PunkBusterB.exer communication error, and keep on getting kicked from the server, and I've tried pbsvc.exe to try and fix it, but it seems it's still happening.

I recieved this error after Compatability mode was on for Windows XP SP/2.

And I will see if I can find those beta drivers.

    Re: BF2142Pace.exe

If your running windows vista and getting that pace.exe error message. Here's how to fix it.First go to the my computer or computer icon on your desktop, right click on it and click on properties. The Control Panel\System and Maintenance\System box pops up. on the left hand side click Advanced system settings. then a your system properties box comes up. on performance, click settings, then the performance options box opens. Click the data execution prevention tab at the top of the box.
Click add at the bottom where it says add or remove. Now once you click add a box will pop up and get it to go to your desktop, then click battlefield 2142 icon then click add.. then click the play battlefield 2142 online icon then click add again
. MAKE SURE AFTER YOU DO THAT YOU CLICK APPLY AT THE BOTTOM. IF YOU DON'T DO THAT IT WILL NOT SAVE THE SETTINGS YOU JUST MADE. Then close out of all of those boxes. Click on your game icon and bam. It should work fine.
