EA has appearantly updated EA Link, but I can not get the thing to update itself, it downloads about 2/5 to half of the way to completion and then stops. Does anyone know where I can either find a direct download of the update or link to the complete new version (so that I can unistall and reinstall so that I am update). This has just been bothering me every time I have to run through start up.

I guess they already killed the "EA Link" anyway, now it's the "Download Manager." Link had such a clunky ugly interface anyway...

so where would the patches be kept now? I see NS listed but don't see where the patch is.

I have to patch on mine but I also have it backed up (separate .exe)
just incase.

After the update to EA Download Manager I could not play because I kept getting an invalid cd key. After three reinstalls and four days of back and forth EA support I was given a link to download a batch file (which I had to edit because my game is installed on a F: drive) that added a five digit code (x9232) to my registry to allow me to play. Even though this worked I told EA support it didn't which they replied with, "Can I have your email, username and serial code." I laughed at this canned response because as an EA Link purchase you do not receive a serial code. I replied back with the requested information except the serial code which I couldn't supply anyway but an explanation why and am waiting for a response. After having to uninstall and reinstall the game almost weekly since purchase Circa 2006, the game still muting my mic when I join a server and the latest escapade I just experienced my giving them a hard time is well deserved.
