Based on the communication question around ~26:25 I would say its time to start worrying about voip. Make some noise where they will notice and may listen.
If someone wanted to take the lead and organize it I would bet the collective voice of all the "talking teamwork" communities would at minimum get their attention to the issue.
...then have some gameplan where through a large collective voice they can recognize the concern as valid and a priority. Bonus if you can frame it in a way that shows it hurts everyone and their games lifespan.

I have asked S7 members to get in on the action and to shout out to MG and DEFR, here is the thread.
Hello,
haven't been here for a while now ... hows things? Sorry not the place for that now is it
We have been looking at BF3 over at S7 with great concern and our fingers tightly crossed but fears were growing. Alpha-feedback, gamplay-footage you name it ... BF3 (in my oppinion) seems not to be a proper sequel to BF2 we all have hoped for; at least not in its current state or with the information we currently have.
VoiP being the major concern of all here and with this the game may stand or fall within the teamplay community world. With the newest information presented today in the Q&A-Chat thing it seems that assumtions that the Frostbite-engine simply can not handle voip, that a work-around through the battlelog-facebook-page-thing, is the "solution" to "fix" voip have been confirmed (at least up to a certain degree).
If we can get this going (getting in direct contact with DICE, a lot of noice on the EA-Forums, a petition, or what ever) you sure can count on my full support and the full support of S7.
Keep in touch!

Persuading them towards implementing working in-game VOIP is a goal shared I believe. Whilst it may very well be a futile venture, you don't get anywhere without trying huh?
They've probably spent way too much money on their battlelog voip system to drop it, but I'm on board - let's persuade the community on the EA forums and they might take heed.
Worth a try. As someone suggested here somewhere in another thread, they probably intend to use battlelog voip across multiple games, so it might make sense for them, but still..........

It will need to be more than just "hey I made a thread, participate" or spamming their twitter type effort that is for sure. A combo of:
- Finding a direct private channel to the community manager or someone at Dice who would listen. Maybe ask on twitter if there is an email address where one can send a thorough but to the point letter on the issue that they would read? "Here is the concern we see, here is how it not only impacts teamplay communities but the community at large and here is where you can read further input from a lot of concerned individuals."
- Solid organization with multiple communities. Each community getting the word out internally in a solid way(i.e. not buried in a random thread).
- Channeling everyone to specific areas where feedback can pile up.
It is not often that I encounter across myself when researching a topic. I found the following in a recent article on the uses of ethnography in virtual environments:

Took a gamble and got a refurbished 30 GB OCZ Vertex 1 off of NewEgg for the low, low price of $30. Had some trouble getting the drive to be recognized by Windows or by my BIOS. Had to use a jumper...
It has been almost 6 months now and I am still waiting for the second peer-review report to come in for my next book (this one is on the future of television).
