I've enjoyed conquest a lot.
I'm concerned about jets. If you don't get missiles on day 1 you're gunna be in for a hard time using jets.
Good point, that and counter-measures(i.e. flares). After the first week I'm going to have AA rocket launchers, AA tanks, and AA mobile, not including other jets trying to take me out. Especially in a coordinated TG server, it's going to be difficult to stay in the air... but that's what I love about TG servers .
It is very buggy. It has lots of potential if the bugs are fixed. It feels like two different betas, the Rush Beta and the Conquest beta. Rush is such a different game.

I may buy this 3-4 months in when most 0day bugs are patched and some promised features might actually have been properly implemented.
I meet the recommended system requirement but Origin + Battlelog(browser) + BF3 = agonizingly sluggish PC.
No full map view that I can find, this is annoying and all map views are overlays with no markers.
Q button inadequacy, honestly I miss my comm rose.
I must say I am not filled with as much certainty about the BF3 as I was in months past. Maybe it's the realization that BF3 really isn't being catered to PC inputs anymore. Everything about the UI and controls says its meant to be used with a controller. And don't get me started on the helo.
Definitely listen to the community in a few months to see.
First off I find having to run Origin annoying I know EA wants in on digital distribution but why couldn't they make a very resource friendly client.
Battlelog is kind of a how should I put it a "barrel roll" in terms of how we play. There are obviously some disadvantages however I feel that this system has unlimited potential and it fixes one major thing wrong with all in game browsers, it's actually intuitive and lightning fast. At retail they are promising editable game options as well as better party/squad management which should round off any sharp edges the system may have and even then they can simply patch battlelog without interrupting gameplay like a patch to the game would such as what happened with the BC2 launch.
The beta has a lot of rough edges and some pointy ones too. Overall it is a good tech demo but I feel they could have given out a slightly more refined product, no doubt its cost them more than a few pre-orders. But alas once you get past the obvious frustrations you can see the potential in what can and almost certainly will be an epic game. It may not be the perfect successor to the BF series but it certainly does put other games from this and previous years to shame. I have definitely kept my pre-order and beyond that I have even pre-ordered a 64 slot server of which any TG member is welcome to a reserved slot.

I believe that Origin and Steam both use roughly the same amount of resources. Still, considering that memory is dirt cheap running with atleast 4GB+ is cake anymore and basically negates any resources that Origin or Steam take away.

I launched both up and waited till I could get to their respective store screens. Here is their memory at rest:
Probably in 2 or 3 years this point will be mute since programs like these will evolve and memory available will increase at a low cost.
Major plus points:
+ awesome graphics (great soldier camouflage)
+ inventive weapon attachments (flashlights, IR scopes)
+ weapon balance (save for the soon-to-be-nerfed UMP45)
+ vehicle unlocks
+ ability to suppress soldiers with weapons fire
+ battlelog (easy to use, lots of info, neat 'community' aspect)
Major minus points:
- no in-game squad VOIP to enable teamwork with non-buddies
- no 'squad leader to squad leader' VOIP ingame to enable multi-squad teamwork sexiness
- no CO - makes concerted teamwork more difficult
- it's too damn hard to make out soldiers against foliage
- weapons fire is much too accurate and much too deadly - there are much fewer chances to escape for cover or reply fire (colloquially referred to as 'MOH weapons')
- close quarter fights are not as smooth and fluid as they were in BC2/BF2142 - they feel laggy and very brief
BF3 beta is mostly what I expected, itīs a successor to BC2. I think it has a lot of potential but the beta is so flawed I think itīs unfair to draw any conclusion from it. I await the "final" release.
It is not often that I encounter across myself when researching a topic. I found the following in a recent article on the uses of ethnography in virtual environments:

Took a gamble and got a refurbished 30 GB OCZ Vertex 1 off of NewEgg for the low, low price of $30. Had some trouble getting the drive to be recognized by Windows or by my BIOS. Had to use a jumper...
It has been almost 6 months now and I am still waiting for the second peer-review report to come in for my next book (this one is on the future of television).
