in addition to VOIP "in-game", as it were. One thing ive noticed with voip via TG's TS plugin, etc, is that the COMPASS is SMALL...I want to share in which direction the enemy is firing from but WTF! I have to read these tiny little useless markers....I practically have to refocus on the tiny little compass...is that the BEST they could do? NO MAP (sorry the little half-assed blue map is useless!) and I cant even give PERSONAL point of view perspective to my squad mates?. I mean MANNNN!!!! COME ON!!! I was hoping for a Over head real time satelite view WITH GRID POINTS on this version ....they sure messed that up.

I made this real fast to illustrate my point:

I can see VERY quickly the "compass", I can also see where im facing, and WHERE OTHERS ARE FACING, so even if someone isnt used to seeing their compass I can say "IN FRONT OF YOU, the direction YOU'RE FACING"

I mean begging for VOIP is one thing, but what are we gonna say? Yes, it would be a HUGE step up from ZERO nothing...

the little compass in BF3 takes too long, its better to call out direction relative to other flags, eg 3 infantry coming in from ALPHA

I just wish the current compass had degree markers. At least then you could quickly say, "Contact 275 degrees" then you could just whip around to that compass heading and observe.

Interdastink -- I maintain VOIP as we have already experienced in TG servers (which really means its not an upgrade for many if us) -- still leaves with a huge "now what?!" we are still left with a piss-poor way to comm relative location-- and an even worse map system to use to comm/coord. with!!!

I bought a new computer only to play BF3...

As an AVID Project Reality player... I am extremely disapointed by DICE for not implementing VoIP...

Another point... have you guys tried the Co-Op mission? It's a joke.... full of bug and glitch. No CHAT whatsoever... No VOIP.... no comm rose... no COMMUNICATION AT ALL!!!.... I just couldn't believe it...

Let's not start a rant so I'll just sum it up so this can be locked lol:

Disappointed because:
No basic in game VoIP (I was expecting next gen VoIP in game like 3d positional VoIP, and radio style VoIP)
No basic team work tools like way points or attack here markers
No commander

But don't worry, the community is already fixin these things themselves.
