4-Man Squads?
I noticed on gameplay videos that there are only 4 people per squad. I also noticed that you can spawn on a anyone in the squad. What do you guys (and gals) think about this?

Re: 4-Man Squads?
I believe each team consists of a maximum of 3 squads of 4 players each (total of 24 players total per server). Coming from BF2142 with a few seasons of BFCL seasons, I would say that I think small squads work well and can move better than a larger squad of 6.
I'm looking forward to seeing how it works.

I think the new spawn system will be more of a change.

Re: 4-Man Squads?
I think the ability to spawn on anyone removes a tactical element. In 2142 and BF2, you have to work to keep your SL alive. The SL in turn has to work to stay out of the way.
Now that we can spawn on any SM, the focus on keeping your leader alive is less.

Re: 4-Man Squads?
I think it's a good idea to be able to spawn on anyone
I also think smaller squads might be an appropriate choice.
Spawning on anyone doesn't really destroy a strategic element. Bot mechanics would facilitate gameplay by preventing squad fragmentation.
However, it might facilitate gameplay a bit too much - if anyone survives, the squad really took no damage at all after they spawn back in.Without teamwork, you'll never survive.
Without betrayal you'll never win.

Re: 4-Man Squads?
I really hope there is squad to squad voip comms, so that there can be teamwide co-ordination
I seem to remember hearing that whoever makes the squad can lay down orders on the map, hopefully they can talk in a SL-SL voip channel

Re: 4-Man Squads?
Keep in mind the pc version may be different in some of these areas. Could be more players, larger squad sizes, SL only spawning or more customization. Hopefully that info starts coming out in December as the beta hits.

Re: 4-Man Squads?
At the start-up, elect a member of the squad (as you would elect someone to carry a certain kit) to be the "Beacon" of the squad and that member has to play a fall-back position in case of a wipe-out.
And if that member gets killed by getting too close to the action we tea-bag him.
Plenty.

Re: 4-Man Squads?
Beacon? If they're going to be tea-bagged perhaps it should be "beaker." We'll be hearing "Who wants to be a tea-cup?" at the start of rounds.
I'm no little tea-cup, short and stout.

So when we get around to classes, we will have TGU Basic Teacup?
