Re: Questions to the beta players ?
Another question popped to my mind:
Is the UAV teamlocked?

Re: Questions to the beta players ?
I have a FAQ for BFBC2 in the AnandTech PC Gaming forum: forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2020118
In the FAQ I have a graphic showing all the available weapons and specs.
On the NeoGAF PS3 forum, someone posted a link to an older version of the image. Subsequent comments indicated that I may have incorrectly labelled the primary and secondary weapons (what's the difference?). Is it just that the shotguns are Primary weapons? I'm pretty confident that the pistols are secondary.
Also, they seemed to say that each of the infantry specializations were assigned on one of the three available "slots". This would prevent you from combining certain capabilities. Can anyone take a look at it in-game and tell me how these are slotted in? (You may have to have unlocked them to be able to tell. Could be difficult!)

No, someone from the defending team can sneak back to the UAV station and take control of it.Is the UAV teamlocked?
Shotguns are primary, they can only replace a primary weapon. Is it just that the shotguns are Primary weapons?
I can't say for sure what specializations are slotted where because I haven't unlocked them all yet. I can say that there are two slots for infantry specs and one slot for vehicle specs."No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country.

Who ever uses the UAV, friend of foe, is gunna get knifed. It's a bit too vulnerable tbh.

Re: Questions to the beta players ?
Exactly how do the recon balls work for detecting enemy ?
Do they put the red mark on the minimap ?
Do they put the red mark over their heads in front of you like normal spotting ?
Do they have a sound to alert you ?
Do they have a decent range ?
Do they stop working after several mins, as if the batteries failed ?
Thanks

Re: Questions to the beta players ?
Can grenades be cooked? (I believe that's the correct term)
Is DICE so generous with rewarding points for kills etc (50 for a kill), or do you need a whole lotta points for 1 rank-up? Is this just for the beta, so every unlock can be thoroughly tested? (of course, answers to this can only be speculations)

Re: Questions to the beta players ?
They put a mark on the minimap and put a red mark over the heads of the enemies. The range doesn't seem to be that great, and I think it stays until you throw another one or die. Someone can probably correct me because I don't play a lot of recon.
We don't know if the points system will be the same, in terms of level and unlock progression, in the final product. But DICE has indicated that most points awards will stay the same, with the exception of blowing up or defending crates which are glitched right now. You get 30 points for destroying a crate, and DICE has said that you're supposed to get 300.
I think I'm on level 24, and I need around 50,000 to get to the next level. The points required to level up get progressively greater each level you gain. Same goes for unlocks, it seems. I played a few matches with the top player on the leaderboards, ValenciaJ, who's around level 42 right now at Brigadier General. I'm not sure what the level cap is... 50 perhaps? ValenciaJ has around 160 hours into the game. I have played 22 hours to get to level 24. ValenciaJ has a higher score per minute than I do, as well.
I would imagine it would take around 200 hours or more for the average player to reach the level cap and get all the unlocks. You unlock the first three weapons in each class pretty quickly, but subsequent unlocks require a lot more points into the class."No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country.
