Handguns, pistols, and sidearms: what do you prefer?
Now that the M1911 isn't better at killing than most ARs ... what sidearm do you prefer?
Is there even a significant reason to prefer one over the other?
I'm personally in favour of the M93, the burst pistol, because it seems to output the most damage/second in extremely close quarters. This is where I usually fight (with the automatic shotgun, USAS) so I've taken a liking to the M93. Of course, outside the 2m range, it's not very good at all.
Re: Handguns, pistols, and sidearms: what do you prefer?
Oh it depends.. If I'm running the kit created by gods (USAS:P) i use the burst pistol, at more then 2m it would be better to throw the darn thing at them but in crazy CCQ it's really good.
If I use say the T88 or the M16 that works better in in mid-range combat I still use the M1911. it still packs a really good punch and I never really liked the revolver.
The ideal set-up would be 2 M93 pistols and some fighting inside a house.. Bring the pain!

I don't know, I still get pretty good success out of the M1911. It's not what it used to be, but in ~10m, when I typically need it, it serves me best.

I tried the burst pistol (still annoys me they didn't model the front grip or the extended mag) but it's not very versatile. I usually stick with the MP443 and throw in the revolver to shake things up every now and then.

What he said. With lightweight perk I can outurn most grenades thrown in my direction if I see them thrown. On topic, still 1911. I use it only if I run out of ammo in main gun and it still packs a serious punch.

1911 for me. John Moses Browning designed it to smite thine enemies with, and there are few guns which serve the purpose better. 99 years old and still going strong.

Late reply, but definitely the MP-443 Grach. High rate of fire, and incredible accuracy even when moving. You can pretty much run after people without using iron sights and shooting them down at 20m without problem.

On maps with no armor M93 for the rapid fire and tracer dart on armor maps. Darting vehicles allows engineers to destroy them with limited exposure.
While being out of ammo and having only a tracer dart is bad, trying to dart a vehicle with a 9 mil is worse (Oops).

Or the scenario where you're engaged in CQC, run out of ammo, whip out he pistol to finish the job, only to dart him and get killed by a guy with a flashing red light on his chest. Dammit.

Happens to me all the time Aim for the head, you can at least obscure (enlighten?) his FOV!
