Thanks again bigtime guys. Well that 781 memory reading was before TS and BC. After I started them it was like 1.3 on the memory usage. I should be able to just get 2 gigs of the ram noted and see what happens next correct? I also turned some apps off and I have ts running with a reading of like 775. So it helped some.

So 2 gigs of ddr2 Dram 400 mhz is what I should purchase you think? Or should I scratch the 2 ram I have and get a better 4 ram for the nividia 680sli MB? What is the proper thing to do?

If you have 2 gig already, I dont think any more would help. If you want, I could send you a one gig stick of DDR2 800 mhz ram. It's just sitting around after I up graded to 1066 mhz.

Have you tried running TS first and loading in a different game to see what happens?

You might also try running BFBC2 from its Program folder and not the shortcut on the desktop. That shortcut starts up the updater program that checks to see if you have the latest version then starts the game. After login, do a ALT ESC out of game and try starting up TeamSpeak. See if that works.

Thanks for the offer Gunney but I kinda jumped the gun already and bought me 2 more gigs off ebay :/ I was running platnium pc2 6400 corsair. So I got 2 more of the same.

Yes I did forget to say that I can see the overlay in left4dead but I didnt run L4D for a long period to see if it acts up there. I tried the launcher in my program folders with no success. And starting up TS while in game only lasts for a few minutes before freezing up the game or until map change

Ok I jumped in Teamfortress and it seemed to take me a long time to get in game and alot of lag in the beginning. Then the lag went away and the game was ok.

I got out of game and noticed just moving around my pc even to get on this browser it is slowed down. So wouldnt that mean its a memory issue? Trying L4d 2 now.

Ok loaded up and played 1 map in verus no problem in L4d2. And seems no after lag all with overlay on.

So its a bfbc 2 problem.

Sounds like you got some Spyware issues or your proccesses are messsed up. Try Downloading Avast antivirus software, it's free for one month, and run that to see if you got some bad stuff running on your computer. I liked Avast so much I paid for one year subscription for 3 computers here at home.

Well, I believe BC2 has some issues with overclocked processors.

No. It's got to be a code conflict between the TS3 Overlay and BC2. It's been crashing for me too, but when the Overlay is disabled BC2 runs fine. Oddly enough, BF3 ran fine with the overlay. Just doesn't like BC2. Might have better feedback if the problem was raised on the TS3 Forum.

Re: Bfbc 2 won't launch or start up.

bfbc and bf2 were both blue screening me for a while until I upped the voltage (Vcore) on my i7 920 factory overclock from alienware. After I did that it was smooth sailing. I kept getting blue screens that said "a clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor..."

If you are overclocked, first try dropping the overclock to see if it clears up the issue. If that fixes it then try tweaking up the vcore (or vtt if it is just general instability) and proceed to stability test the OC.

I just wanted to point out that your issue of not being able to play BC2 with the TS3 overlay most likely has nothing to do with your hardware. I think the TS3 overlay is just buggy with certain games and one of those games is probably BC2. That being said, more memory doesn't hurt and like others have said, your PC would definitely benefit from an upgrade of 2GB to 4GB. I just wouldn't count on that fixing your TS3 overlay issue.

I fixed my ts overlay issues with a g15 keyboard. I love the TS plugin for the mini screen.

Well Gunney told me about the G15 so that might be the route I will take.

I've got my G15 keyboard fixed up with a special hax! Everytime I kill Sc1ence or Ven it lights up like an old pinball game and goes "Ding! Ding! Ding!" Makes the game more fun now!
