Yes, that's right, I finally left that blue-and-white sphere known as Always Taking and Taking (aka: AT&T)! Now I'm with that red-and-black company known as Comcast. AND...my internet speeds went from: 3 down / 0.5 up to 21 down and 3.7 up! That's over 8x the speed all for $10 more a month!

God, now I can fast enough internet so it's bearable when the 6-7 PCs are all online at the same time at home! *does victory dance*

My condolences on your switch Acreo. I certainly hope comcast is better in your area than it is in mine. Last month, they lost my payment and disconnected my service 4 times while they "researched" where my payment went.

I have had a few hiccups with comcast, but the speed of my interwebz and all my cool HD channels makes me forgive all

Hmm, yeah we'll see how Comcast goes in the area. I haven't had anything but ATT for the past 12 years.

One thing I have noticed is that my download speed goes up and down wildly. One minute it could be 1.5 MB/s, the next 600 KB/s. You guys have this issue at all?

Yep. I have that issue on both sides, up and down. I can run two speed tests back to back and get hugely different speeds. Comcast insists theres nothing wrong.

Hmm, I'm gonna call them up some time next week if the down speed isn't stable by then.

it all depends on the bandwidth load on the local node. Most likely you're seeing a slow down at peak traffic times. Keep a running chart and you should be able to spot it quickly.
