No blog is complete without the "wow it's been a while since I last posted" post, and this blog should be no exception.
For most of the summer I've been sort of an absentee landlord, owing mainly to my home situation. I've been waking earlier to show my wife some solidarity in her job, and the times of gaming for a few hours until 2AM hit just aren't there anymore. Coupled with summer break for the kids, it's a recipe to stay away from the computer unless work necessitates it (meaning I'm

As Game Officer, I'm the king of appeals for TGNS. While technically Apophis lords over me, rarely is a situation escalated to his level. We run a good, tight ship, and showing that we stepped on our own toes is often an impossible task, because we don't.
But not all appeals are about a mishandling. Being the longest consectutively running title here at TG, our ban list is rather expansive, if only due to the span of time it covers. A popular reason for ending up on the list is immaturit

These words are not mine, but they bear repeating. I'd like to thank Yer Mom for the kind words; it helps make me think we're doing something right, and worthwhile.

I was having a discussion a mere 10 minutes ago with a friend of mine who recently decided to visit Southern California. She's working on deciding if she wants to live there or not, and was sort've asking me for advice. I told her she needed to be where she's happy, but she needed to know the

Truly, among my peers at Tactical Gamer, I am most blessed.
Natural Selection here at Tactical Gamer has the distinction of being the longest consecutively-running title in the lineup of games we support. So there's a rather rich history, a solid foundation for everything it is I do.
And then there are my predecessors Big-B and Wyzcrak. Both, through their actions while Game Officer, set a standard for leadership and excellence that both drives me on and makes me look like a really cool

I like people who follow the rules. Even -- no, ESPECIALLY -- when they've broken rules in the past. It shows the ability to recognize your mistakes and work past them.
So if you come to my house and pee on my carpet, and I call you on it, man up and follow the rules from there on out instead of trying to justify to me why it is you should be allowed to pee on my carpet despite the rules against it.

This is your insight into the mind of a Game Officer here at Tactical Gamer. I'm not sure yet how much I feel like sharing, or what it is I might share, so bear with me while my brain percolates.
In any event, welcome to whatever inner workings it is I have.
