No blog is complete without the "wow it's been a while since I last posted" post, and this blog should be no exception.
For most of the summer I've been sort of an absentee landlord, owing mainly to my home situation. I've been waking earlier to show my wife some solidarity in her job, and the times of gaming for a few hours until 2AM hit just aren't there anymore. Coupled with summer break for the kids, it's a recipe to stay away from the computer unless work necessitates it (meaning I'm around to do stuff like this, but not to actually play games with real people).
I'm sincerely hoping the return of the school year brings about it more opportunities for gaming. Tactical Gamer -- and gaming in general -- are a big part of who I am, and I miss it. But my lack of time shouldn't be an issue for the other players here, and if I can only give 15 tired minutes before either being called away or passing out, then I feel like I shouldn't even connect; the community deserves more from its playing time.
