Two worlds, One shipping cluster
|

Man, with all of the specialty game stores going to a heavy pre-order model you would think they would get the whole "shipping games to their stores" thing right. But, sadly, that wasn't in the cards this past week.
I pre-order a bunch of games, becuase frankly the for-sale box count is so low these days that it's just not worth the hassle. So, one of my more recent pre-orders was Two Worlds for the PC. Now this prolly isn't a really remarkable game, or worth a ton of effort to go out of

Not much in the way of discs this week. closing in on the end of Utawareblahblahblah. I'm not sure about the other disc, but it's an imperial political drama/romance which I liked 12 Kingdoms so I'm hoping that it is somewhat similar.
Utawarerumono Vol. #5 (of 6)
Story of Saiunkoku Vol. #1 (also w/box) (of 9)
And for main stream DVDs the only thing out this week that looks worth getting is Heroes Season 1. I don't watch TV, but someone at work thought I might like the show, so I'm gonn

Solty Rei Vol. #6
South Park: The Complete Tenth Season
Bioshock on PC
Two Worlds PC or 360

It's a black week for Anime this week, with two "Black" titles. I really liked the first disc of Black Lagoon, so I'm glad the second one is out. It's a fun series set in close modern times where a japanese businessman gets mixed up with a group of mercenaries/pirates. Looking forward to seeing how the next few episodes turn out.
Black Cat #6
Black Lagoon #2
Ergo Proxy Vol. #5 (of 6)
Utawarerumono Vol. #4 (of 6)

Couple of decent anime titles out this week, but a lackluster selection in mainstream titles. There is a Wesley Snipes movie slated to release this week (The Contractor,) but the plot seems kinda thin even for a Snipes vehicle. Maybe that'll be worth a look. I dunno if my local Best Buy is going to carry the Dresden Dolls video, but I'll check the shelves for it.
Fate/Stay Night #4
Kyo Kara Maoh! Season 2 Vol. #5
Solty Rei Vol. #5
Dresden Dolls: Live At The Roundhouse (Not Rated)

Hmmm I'm not real sure about Eureka. I don't watch TV much at all, so it's kinda hit or miss on TV shows. I really like that I can pick up an entire season's worth of shows at once, and watch them at my leisure instead of being chained to the TV at the most inopportune times. I checked out the premise of the show, and it seems kinda interesting about some cop that gets stranded in a town designed by Einstein and President Truman. Anyone know if it's any good?

After the utter nothing that was last week for DVDs, a small improvement is to be had this week.
Monk Season 5
The Shooter
Tony Shaloob is hilarious, and him as Monk is a perfect fit. I've been waiting for the next season of this to come out for a while now. Glad it has finally arrived.
No decent anime out this week. Supposedly 18 titles were released, but none particularly caught my eye or were series I'm in the middle of. One disc, Freedom, looked like it might be interesting un

BBC Robin Hood

While looking for a DVD in the local Best Buy that I wanted and they thought they had, I came across the BBC presentation of Robin Hood season 1. On impulse, and some vague recollection that somone online on some forum I read said that it was pretty good I decided to pick this up. I mean, this is the freaking BBC, if anyone is going to do Robin Hood justice it really, really should be them. This may be old news for those in Euro-land, but I've not seen this on the shelves here for very long.

I had to go downtown on business yesterday to our home office in the Buckhead area. I didn't end up making it to the ole Best Buy. So here's the makeup list. Hopefully, will be able to pick these up at lunch.
Black Cat #5
Kurau #2
Mar #1
Ghost Rider
As a side note, my local Best Buy completely *lost* all their copies of Air Gear #3 in the building somewhere. The inentory program said they had 7, somone checked 7 in, but there was no finding these discs. I stopped by three tim

Boy, not a great week this week either. Not a whole lot out today, but some decent series that I certainly like. So I guess it's quality over quantity this week. Or at least that's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
Air Gear #3
Eureka Seven #7
Fantastic Four comes out today, and while I may pick it up I'm certainly ambivalent at best on this one.
