Hmmm I'm not real sure about Eureka. I don't watch TV much at all, so it's kinda hit or miss on TV shows. I really like that I can pick up an entire season's worth of shows at once, and watch them at my leisure instead of being chained to the TV at the most inopportune times. I checked out the premise of the show, and it seems kinda interesting about some cop that gets stranded in a town designed by Einstein and President Truman. Anyone know if it's any good?

You know, I've seen all but the very, very end of Evangelion, and I have to admit, the only reason I kept putting up with Shinji's whining was that I had to believe that, at some point, the sick craziness of it all would eventually make sense. When a friend and I discovered that it, in fact, never truly made sense, we pondered watching it under the influence of much, much alcohol just to see if that would help. (We never got around to it.) But the giant Eva units are cool.

Yeah, I neded up watching all of Eureka (the sci-fi show) in two sittings. I really enjoyed it. It was, as advertised, a small town dective show with a twist. The hook is that the twist is a very interesting one. And, yes, I do also have all of Eureka 7 out on DVD. I like the show too. It is marginal on the whiny-factor, but it's nowhere near as bad as Evangelion.

The show is pretty good, actually. There have been a few bad episodes but for the most part its quite interesting. I would never watch it if it wasn't for the TiVo though. And no, I don't think he's describing Eureka 7. Eureka is a show on the Sci-Fi Channel.

I think he's talking about the Sci-Fi show Eureka. I've seen one episode, and it seemed pretty interesting, I just don't really sit down to watch TV much, and don't know when/if its still on.

Are you referring to Eureka 7, the anime cartoon? I started watching it, but became overly disgusted with the immaturity. Oh yes, and don't let me forget the non-stop angst. There's too much interpersonal drama and impending doom that is barely avoided again and again only to discover, that's right, they're doomed some more. Reminds me of the Robert Jordan books. Changing the subject, why didn't anyone tell me that Solid State Society was out!?
