Dragon Skin was banned from in-theater a few years ago. The armor was suffering catastrophic failures during government stress tests, to put it succinctly. The adhesive used to keep the armor tiles in place on the inner fabric failed when exposed to Army test standards of 165F (over 6 hours), resulting in first-shot complete penetration.
Pinnacle made a big stink about the Army failing their Dragon Skin, claiming it passed NIJ test standards and that Big Army was deliberately ****-canning DS in favor of Point Blank's Interceptor vests. However, the NIJ tests Pinnacle performed upon Dragon Skin weren't as stringent as the Army tests for armor. It was quite the drama back then.
