Att Admins: 2 server config commands for 2 voip channels ?
I was just on TG servers with baguiar and testing voip
we found public voip was NOT working
we found fireteam voip was working
in the game menus public voip was greyed out (while ingame i press / escape / options / voip)
on the splash damage forum user "SRS-Kap" who is a "Lead Gameplay Programmer" says there are 2 server commands, one for each voip channel
there is also a post in that thread linked from Apophus, is this TG Apophis, not sure ?
A lot of the sample configs posted in various threads on splashdamage forums only have one of the commands listed, si_teamVoipEnabled 0/1
worth investigating ?
please post up if this works or not, i am interested
EDIT
to have ingame voip as a viable option then it must be global voip, fireteam voip is too fiddly to setup and you have to invite the whole team and they have to accept, however if global voip works then bang everybody hears you immediatly, including visitors who can join in the chat, recruiting through ingame voip, its like a dream from years gone by !
this is the definition of global voip
EDIT EDIT
this sample config file has both voip commands listed http://forums.steamgames.com/forums/...22&postcount=5
//-------------- VOIP ----------------//
si_globalVoipEnabled 1 // GLobal VOIP [ 0 = off, 1 = on ]
si_teamVoipEnabled 1 // Team VOIP [ 0 = off , 1 = on ]

It is not often that I encounter across myself when researching a topic. I found the following in a recent article on the uses of ethnography in virtual environments:

Took a gamble and got a refurbished 30 GB OCZ Vertex 1 off of NewEgg for the low, low price of $30. Had some trouble getting the drive to be recognized by Windows or by my BIOS. Had to use a jumper...
It has been almost 6 months now and I am still waiting for the second peer-review report to come in for my next book (this one is on the future of television).
