* * Be More Objective
Ok, I've just spent the last three hours attempting the two-star Be More Objective challenge to no avail. I've tried multiple tactics and strategies, but the farthest I've gotten is about 75% hacking.
I've watched a few videos on You Tube of successes, but they seem to just be of people that have just gotten extremely lucky on their one thousandth try.
Anyone here have any luck?
I've got a feeling I'm never going to even attempt the three-star one.Last edited by Harlequin; 05-17-2011 at 01:50 PM.

Re: * * Be More Objective
I believe luck plays a large role in completing this challenge but there are a few things you can do to give yourself better odds.
-You basically can't count on any of your friendly bots to cover you or be useful. For every objective, you really have to focus on shooting and killing each enemy bot before you even attempt to do the objective or at least make sure your team bots got the stragglers. This is harder than it sounds because obviously the enemy bots can revive each other or respawn if you take too long.
-Pack two SMGs/ARs, whatever you are good with. Sometimes, rather than reloading your weapon it will be quicker to switch to your other gun to take out the last couple bots before working the objective. In this game, you're kind of forced to aim for the head because hitting them anywhere else takes a stupid amount of shots.
-For both repairing and hacking, you can progress them partially in chunks instead of just doing them in one long go. For example, you can start the hack and then periodically stop to pull out your gun to kill incoming bad guys since you can't count on your buddy bots to do that for you.
-If you are making good time, it's often better to take a less direct route to objectives so that you don't get killed running up the stairs or in other defenseless positions.

Re: * * Be More Objective
The tactic that helped me finish the hacking sequence the most was running back and forth. As stupid as it sounds, running back and forth repeatedly while hacking will help you avoid the innumerable amount of bullets coming towards you. When you die, make sure to quickly run up toward the hack box and toss a nade right on it, thus killing any engineers that are attempting to destroy the hack box. Another good tactic is to attempt to steal one of the enemy uniforms, then getting behind them all and mowing them down, then immediately afterward, start hacking.

Re: * * Be More Objective
Here's a good tip: Start a new character. A fresh character will force the enemies to be lacking in abilities (their impeccable aim will also be lacking). They scale to your level so if you focus on running the Objective test twice it's a lot easier. It'll still be hard but it's easier than when you've leveled up to 10+.
Also if you duck back and hide around the corner during the hacking (don't run past, run back to where you came from) you'll receive no fire.

Re: * * Be More Objective
But as you move away from the hack box, your iphone loses signal strength and hacking time increases tremendously.
At the time of my OP I was lvl 18, so I'm sure the scaled difficulty is a lot of my problem. Shame how your friendly bots don't seem to scale along with you though."Nothing we're going to do...is going to fundamentally alter or eliminate the possibility of another mass shooting, or guarantee that we will bring...uh...um, gun deaths down to a thousand a year from...uh, from what it is now." - Vice President Joe Biden

Re: * * Be More Objective
Started a new character, did all three on the first try, doing the one in question with almost 7 minutes to spare. I suppose they need to add difficulty scaling to the list of things that needs some adjustment.

Re: * * Be More Objective
I've basically given up on the two stars. I've actually had the same idea of running about dodging fire, but as Harlequin pointed out, hack time goes up and signal gets weaker and weaker. Once in a while I'll complete the hack, but run out of time trying to get the intel retrieved.
