Re: DVD- The Nightmare Before Christmas
The last time I bought a movie like this it was The Princess Bride and I got it on laserdisc for an obscene amount of money. It was the original Criterion release and was out of print.
A couple months after I bought it, they decided to re-release it on laserdisc.
I was annoyed.
I'm seeing a few on eBay right now for $20.50, $10.00, $9.99, etc. with anywhere from 24m to 1h 24m respectively to go.
Diplomacy is the art of saying "good doggie" while looking for a bigger stick.

Re: DVD- The Nightmare Before Christmas
disney has a 7 year cycle for their movies, they re-re(re re) release <movie> every 7 years, and it is on the shelfs for 1 year until it goes into..... 'the disney vault' for 6 years and then they re-re-release it again, an endless cycle that almost guarantees that all kids get the urge to have their parents buy said movie for them while they are in the prime veiwing age of 5-11
