there is no age verification for wine-woot(as in you can lie)..... all you need is an account and a credit/debit card or paypal account (i had a pp account when i was 16)

but it DOES say that you cant be drunk when the wine is delivered

Heh..nice... we used to have a Beer Distributor that you could call and order a case of beer..and then Leave the money in an Envelope at the door and they would drop it off for you... Funny that there were adults home whenever they ordered beer?

But beer, or even MD/Boone's is a tiny fraction of the cost! I'm just saying that wine.woot.com is not going to be contributing to alcohol abuse anytime soon...

It might contribute to a bit of wine appreciation in the younger crowd, though! And that would certainly not be a bad thing!

Thanks Cingy. It was actually a statement rather than a question. I found it through Google about 15 minutes after I posted.

I'm waiting for some cheap wine to be sold on there (as in below $20 a bottle).

I'll make a recommendation for anyone looking for a great cheap red: Concha y Toro's Cabernet/Merlot blend from Chile. You can find it for $3-6 a bottle and it's been getting rave ratings at all the wine tasting thingies. I'm not a fancy wine person, but I'm glad that I've finally found the red wine that I've been looking for...

is it bitter? im not a fan of red wine myself (it should be in my blood.. im Italian for criminy sake) i dont mind a good white wine tho, almost any white wine, but ty for the heads up cing, i just might swing by the local vineyard and see if they have it

oh, and if you butcher the names of wine like i used to... heres a mighty helpful link (chicks dig men who can pronounce the wine they drink)

Having bought from wine.woot.com before, the delivery guy will check for ID. If they're doing it properly, the name on the ID as to be the same one that's on the package and the address on your ID has to match the delivery address.
