I was outside working on my vehicle and heard what sounded like kittens meowing, so I looked in the bush right across the road from our house where I park and there were 5 kittens and the mother. So, I thought these kittens will never make it that long cause it was already dipping down in the teens through the night so said heck with it and got them and the momma. My wife came home from work and gave me all kinds of hell about it but gave in cause she said they were to cute to throw out to die from exposure. That was a little over a year ago.
On Christmas Eve last year my favorite kitten did die, I have no idea from what and of course it being on Christmas Eve in WV where the heck could I find any Vet at at 8:00 P.M.? I figure she had some kind of infection that ended up shutting her system down? Reason why I chose this kitten as mine was it was the only black cat in the bunch, momma and the other 4 kittens were gray. My black kitten would sleep on my chest at night and climb up my leg whenever she wanted me to hold her and yes she did this a lot. So, we still have the 4 other kittens but got rid of momma, she was not a good house cat and a person I knew wanted a cat for his barn to keep rodents down. My cats I should say have never been outside YET but I plan on getting them fixed and letting them go out. My wife said 4 cats in the house are worse than 3 kids playing in the house. The cats are constantly messing the house up, we decided to give them a room of their own to mess up, lol.
