Works Great..
I have the drivers remote, dongles and box.
The input box with the MIDI RCA and OPTICAL inputs goes in an empty floppy slot..

It actually goes in a 5.25" bay not a 3.5".

I can attest that this card is very nice and will give you wonderful clarity sound + surround in games.

Or an empty Optical Drive Bay..
I assume the card will work fine without it installed as well.

Im not sure, what kind of mumble problems are you having?? I think that mumble still has its share of bugs...
