    WTB Pentium D proc

I have an older machine I am using for a file and terminal server at the house and right now it has a Pentium D 820 2.8. I would like to upgrade it to a Pentium D 9xx proc at least 3.0 GHz and preferrably 4MB cache. It will not support anything newer like a core2 or anything like that. If you have one you want to sell or trade for something that would be great!

Thats kind of a step back.... I already have a P4 3.2 and 3.4GHz chip but those are single core, I want to upgrade the Pentium D 2.8GHz to something better. But thanks for the offer!!!

Looks like you're looking for something like:

A quick search through PriceWatch turns up a list of Pentium D CPUs.

Here are some that match your needs for 3 GHz+ and 2 x 2MiB Cache:

    $90.42: http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?p=PD-940&c=pw
    $95.00: http://store.memorylabs.net/inped925duco1.html

You'd be better off sticking with your 820 rather than spending another $100 on a slightly faster Pentium D.
