The first thing on her list would probably be : "Why the heck are you using MY name?"

Re: Need a logo design for my wife.

I thought I would login to post one more message before signing off for good. My deadline for deciding on a logo is this weekend and I appreciate any ideas you all might have.

Cing can breathe a sigh of relief at my leaving and I hope I've helped everyone else appreciate that their wives don't visit these forums too.

As for me, just hearing him say that he should have listened to me was worth the trip over here... if I get some help on my logo all the better.

Kim

bump! does it suck? does it work? what needs to be changed? is it ok?

I want that 50 bucks donated to TG so I want to make one that your wife can use. And if anyone else is interested in working on or tweaking what I made just ask and I can shoot you the .psg and fonts.

I was going to stay out of this now that Kim is here, but since she hasn't replied, I'll give you my opinion:

It looks great! But I'm not sure if it would work as a logo. Those shadows under the text won't work, and it seems like it actually has a lot of different colors. She needs to be able to have this embroidered on hats and shirts without significantly changing the logo (although she may just use the crown without any text).

Bottom line, IMO, is that you did too good of a job. I think it needs to be simpler. And, I think Quarath is right about using a clipart crown. A custom crown (even if this one is just tweaked a bit more) would make me feel a lot better...

Re: Need a logo design for my wife.

I can do all sorts of stuff with the clipart crown. I can change it to any number of colours or variations thereof - just let me know what you want.

And if you want the shadows nuked I can do that, too - its simple. I just made something that would work as a site banner/logo or what have you for a storefront or sign. If its going to go on shirts its just a matter of a simple edit and blamo - no more drop shadow. This is all customizeable based upon what you want Dave, Im doing this because i want to see some cash go to TG and to help out a friend.

Just tell me what you need. And dont hesitate to shoot me a ring at 301-432-0054 if you need to. Ill be home all day today as im off work, so do what you have to.

She said that she needed this by this weekend so im gonna hang around and see if I get any more info on this so that I can bust it out by the weekend.

Let me know, Dave.

Whew... No way, bud. I was just offering my opinion. She's going to have to talk to you about what she actually wants. I've washed my hands of this, but she did agree to the $50 donation deal...

Re: Need a logo design for my wife.

Here are 3 possibilities I have come up with. I have made them simple no color only black and white but they could be any single color. I would maybe even suggest having a custom stamp made and you could stamp or emboss however you like. I can provide high quality EPS vector images or high resolution Tiff files if needed

Re: Need a logo design for my wife.

Did she get her logo taken care of? If not I would be happy to make one.

http://www.acuwebservices.com/portfolio.htm you can see some logos I have done here towards the bottom . I enjoy making logos so I dont feel a need to charge for it. Just tell anyone you know who might need one or a site to give me a try

the ones above my post look great!

Re: Need a logo design for my wife.

I'm really sorry guys. I've told her several times that there are people here that have already provided her with some work and she keeps telling me that she's going to come and take a look... I'm sorry that I asked for your help and now it's evidently not wanted. I'm a bit upset about this.

The good thing is that her store opened with great success. I don't even know if they're already using a logo or not... I've been out of town since before the store was opened.

Anyway, I wanted to thank everyone for their effort. I was under the impression that you all would have a bit more input about what she wanted. Hell, any input would've been nice, eh?

Re: Need a logo design for my wife.

Well, hey. I've got a logo need in fact...

If any of you are talented enough to think of something clever that I'll use, I'll pay you.

Here's the scoop:

Company name is MindMelon. It's an Internet technology company startup that does software development, consulting, and reselling of web-enabled applications that are hosted for customers. The trick is that it's new and a ".com" and both of those are red flags to customers -- so to combat this the logo needs to conveye stability, experience, yet young and innovative. Although it is a startup, there is over 20+ years of professional technology and professional experience behind the venture.

Why "MindMelon" ? Because it's founders are very "mindful" people and they "user their melon" as such. Further, the company name doesn't tie it to any one technology, service, or individual product. It could have just as easily been entitled, "Shazoom" for that matter.

Any one interested? Email me at riyker @ teamelement.org

Re: Need a logo design for my wife.

I just wanted to apologize for appearing to be ungrateful for the time and effort that you all put into ideas for my logo. In the chaos of opening our store and getting Cing sent off for a few months I was not as on top of things as I should have been. I certainly didn't mean to waste anyone's time - I appreciated the responses I received from you all immensely. Thank you.
