Re: selling /giving lots o' stuff

My graphics card is starting to have some problems, what do you have that is decent for gaming but still AGP? (Current card is an ATI 9600 Pro 128mb)

Also, how old are those 80gb HDD's, and are they still under any warranty?

the other is a amd 350 w/ 64? meg ram 6.4 gig hdd 12.1 dtsn screen, cdrom and floppy. w98se installed w/ sticker...

these are from memory, let me double check the specs. also, if you want one, I will take 40 shipped... you want both.... 70.00

batteries are dead on both, the better spec on has an issue with the video. the video and screen still work, but I think the cable might be shorted, so it freaks out. ext. monitors works fine. the older one has some cosmetic issues, but runs just fine.

both are OLD... do not expect much, but they do work. great little internet surfers.

agp:

128 meg gf fx 5500 and 5200

pcie:

128 meg x300se

the 80's are less than 2 years old... dunno about warranties. I also have a wd120se that does still have (i think) a year or so left on the warranty (they are 3 yr, right?).

Re: selling /giving lots o' stuff

How good are the SoundBlaster Live cards? I don't know anything about sound cards, but I get some hissing/popping/cracking out of my current sound card (Onboard AC97) and I'm sure a good sound card would fix this.

I see cards at the store that claim to provide major performance boosts when running games with fancy sound. Would a sound card have any noticable boost to gaming performance (like reducing the load on the CPU put on by the onboard sound)?

WD hard drives used to all carry a 3 year warranty, but then they went down to a 1 year warranty for some, and 3 year for some.

How much for the AGP fx5500? Oh, and what brand (obviously GeForce, but who is the manuf.?)

A SoundBlaster Live will be a definite improvement over onboard AC97 sound!

Does this mean you are looking for $25 + shipping for the processor?

And if so, what socket of cpu is it, and is it Athlon XP or Sempron, or what?

Do you have any motherboards that can support a Slot1 P3-800 ?

yes.... though this is a buyer beware situation. The processor has worked before, but It has sat for a long time in the little case in a drawer and I have no way to make sure it works now. it did work when I put it up though. this is an as-is deal....... (though if you have a mobo that will take a socket A mobile 3000+ Tbred 133fsb barton core.... 25 bucks for the sweetest chip ever put out on the socket A platform is worth the 30.00 gamble.)

I believe I might.... I will check. if I do.... 25.00 incl. ship. (shipping is going to be 10, so you are getting the board for 15.00)

Re: selling /giving lots o' stuff

I may take you up on both of those (the motherboard and the cpu). I'll see if my motherboard will support such a cpu, and if it will, I'll take it. Let me know if you have a motherboard that will take that Slot1 P3-800.

Thanks

Re: selling /giving lots o' stuff

I did verify that I have a slot 1 mobo that will run an 8x multiplier on a 100 fsb for sure, but it could possible hit a 133.... (the options were 100 and auto.)

The motherboard was working when it went into storage.

the cpu is still there as well.

55 and they both belong to you.
