Re: Online Retailers to use or stay away from
www.directron.com -Cases, power supplies and lots of goodies.
www.svc.com - hsf's, coolers, pimping your case supplies, thermal compound etc. (I think there's a newer site out but can't remember the name for the other good one right now)
www.computergeeks.com - check these guys out on Sundays in the afternoon around 2-4pm est for "sizzling sundays!"
www.monarchcomputers.com - these guys are great I tend to buy mobo's procs and videocards from them, located in Georgia, they run pretty good deals that compare with the egg and zzf or beat them on occasion
www.outpost.com - fry's electronics online, unfortunatley the deals aren't as good as fry's brick and mortar.
www.buy.com - good stuff all around, they run a good deal every once in a while.
If you are into checking out hot deals sites checkout the hot deals forums in
anandtech.com
fatwallet.com
gottadeal.com
Slickdeals.net
Don't be afraid to try something different, I used to shop exclusively at newegg.com but have learned that there are other companies out there that deserve a chance, looks like this is a pretty good list in this thread, as others have said checkout resellerratings.com and beware of the Tiger!

Always check http://www.resellerratings.com/ before purchasing something online. It provides feedback from other customers shopping from the stores, so you know if it legit or not. It saved me a few times

I use:
www.newegg.com for general everyday purchases. Have used them for years.
www.sidewindercomputers.com They have a number of harder to find High-grade electronics fans in standard computer sizes, including a few by delta that do 2-300CFM (cubic feet per minute airflow) granted, it's at 55-65dB.
www.frozencpu.com - Best place online to get case mods, and the only place I go for watercooling supplies.

Re: Online Retailers to use or stay away from
I would also stay away from Tigerdirect. They also have another company/name, Global Computer I guess.
Last year I purchased a DDR memory from them. When I got the package, it wasnt what I ordered. I thought I made a mistake and checked the web site again. And guess what? It was a different model (worse performance). I had everything in records (their product page, my order details, etc) but their costomer service (the worst one I have ever seen) denied "false advertisement"/ technical problem and didnt change the product.
I had no problem with Zipzoomfly and Newegg.

www.neweg.com (Duh!)

www.tigerdirect.com (I buy from these guys constantly... refurb laptop heaven... they bend over backwards for me....)
www.directdeals.com (software on the cheap. get last years version of whatever for next to nothing)
www.bhvideo.com (high end and professional audio video equipment)

www.kahlon.com (fantastic prices on memory and flash / usb storage)
www.monarch.com (good deals from time to time)

www.laptopsaver.com (I buy a lot of batteries and AC adapters.... these guys have about the lowest price across the board. quick shipping)
www.markertek.com (good deals from time to time.... I don't use them in volume, but every once in a while, the get some insane deal.... it pays to be on the mailing list)

stay away from:
www.ocz.com (after 2 months of fighting to get my parts, it finally took me disputing the charge to get the parts. then they finally called me and accused me of trying to steal from them....)
www.ussa.com (bait and switch, horrible site, 0 CS)Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former. -Albert Einstein

Oh, I just thought of an EXCELLENT site for clearance and refurbished computer parts: www.compgeeks.com
These guys have great prices, but their retail prices leave something to be desired. I'd stick with the factory refurbs from here...Become a supporting member!

Re: Online Retailers to use or stay away from
I tend to use only www.newegg.com, www.zipzoomfly.com and www.mwave.com for my computer purchases - all have shown great reliability with good prices.
www.mwave is a great place to get decent prices on motherboard bundles.
For games it's almost always www.gogamer.com or www.amazon.com.

I would recommend
www.w00t.com
They have one item in stock each day but it is factory price and it can/will be sold out in less than an hour. could be something small like a mp3 player or something big like a projector.

I have bought a few things from www.woot.com and it is always painless.
Everyone should visit them if for no other reason than to read the product descriptions.Retired 6th DB

www.ibuypower.com
Very good retailer in my opinion. Especially if your planning on buying a whole gaming machine. Their prices are much better on desktops than laptops, but they have a very wide selection to fit many budgets. Also unlike many other Gaming Machine sites, they offer older parts to still be selected hence you can get a great machine for 600$! It's very friendly to computer noobs, they assemble and let you know what compatible.
The customer service is all right, they will catch you on shipping because you can get one day shipping, but then you got to pay for shipping to your house separately. Besides that, they speak english and are helpful.
The best part is the coupons, deal, and other free stuff. Play around with different sales BUT make the same machine and see what prices you get.
*When I purchased my CPU, I chose Special-B at the time was 15% off a 999.99$ plus 3 day shipping and 125$ off*
Special-A (Same Model) Came to 1150$
Special-B (Same Model) Came to 738$
Play their game and you'll win a great deal!
Hadouken!!! (>*.*)> ==> ==> ==> ^(X.X)^
