Has anyone used www.PeachDirect.com before?
My brother told me he ordered something from there, but I had never heard of the site before.|TG-12th|Undead

Re: Online Retailers to use or stay away from
Monarch has gone out of business since last year. They were doing terrible and ripping people off like crazy, reseller ratings was getting almost laughably bad. They owe me 140 bucks I'll never get back. They may be still doing their retail stores down in Georgia, but their online site is gone.
There's a reason why I'm only buying from newegg from now on, they've been reliable, have never screwed me, and any time I hear a bad story, I always have seen that the issue was quickly taken care of.

Re: Online Retailers to use or stay away from
The best online computer retailers I use (in Canada) is NCIX. They have very good customer service and prices which are preaty low (usually find better prices elsewhere). There online site has a pricematch service, so you can reference another site with a better price and it'll match it. The shipping prices are good sometimes and bad other times
They do have an American site, but I have no experience with it.

Re: Online Retailers to use or stay away from
A fun/useful site I use for casemods and other less...necessary items (caffeinated soap anyone?).
http://www.xoxide.com/
Be careful ordering though, save up and purchase things all at once. The only problems I have heard of are on small orders. Large ones get more detail I guess. Ah the frivolousness of a USB cooling fridge.BF3 is a good game, and when they finish it, it may even be a great game.

Re: Online Retailers to use or stay away from
Yeah xoxide.com is a cool site to look at, especially for the small "extras".
Another fun site to look into for techy things/toys, is thinkgeek.com
I'm a hard core fan of Tigerdirect and of Newegg. I built my last 3 pc's using parts completely from both of them and no where else. Tigerdirect is always on the ball as far as shipping, the last order I placed was in my hands in under 48 hours.Whats the Deal with the tiny sig limit?

Re: Online Retailers to use or stay away from
i've done a lot of business with tigerdirect. only had 1 problem. bought some 256meg ram sticks for my mom's old PC, the packaging said 256, but both sticks were only 128 (even had stickers on them that said so). not really their fault i guess, more like the manufacturer's... didnt have time to wait on an RMA, so I just stuck em in.

This has to be the sixth or Seventh incarnation for these folks. I remember them as discountdigitalcameras.com and recieved similar warnings when I posted on TG asking about them several years ago.

Does anybody know the site www.erdsupply.com? It's rather a wholesale site but you can also order single products some guy from craigslist told me. Anybody knows bad or good reports from them?

Life's too short to live it fast.

Re: Online Retailers to use or stay away from
I recently bought a new HD camcorder and did the research and heard the same things about that company. Definitely best to avoid the "too good to be true" prices for cameras, especially if they are dealt out of the Brooklyn area.
I eventually bought from bhphotovideo.com and highly recommend it.
You can't always trust resellerratings.com because evil companies like wawadigital will make fake accounts and "statpad" their rating.
