My current setup is a 11 year old boom mic that came with my grandparents Packard Bell pentium desktop, which while still works, is a bit of a pain registering things. I used to have a good pair of Plantronics, but something in the wiring ripped and my mic went dead.

Went to circuit city to buy another and found they didn't sell that model anymore, Plantronics website doesn't have that model anymore.. it's shaped exactly like the current generation of GameCom Pro mics, only 40 dollars cheeper and no USB.

I don't remember which model these are. I'll try to look it up tonight and post it here. They are'nt the best ever but I was definately happy with them.
