My sister bought one a couple years ago and returned it because, well, it didn't suck Didn't keep things clean I guess.

Yeah.. I heard about that.. but then they make it clear it isn't supposed to 'suck'.. it only has rotating brushes for pick-up.. so IMO it is meant for daily 'tidiness' and not a substitute for a solid weekly Hoover-job..

I'd just like to have the floor clean 'looking' for those unexpected visits/enounters..

Re: Woot.com

My friend's got a Roomba. He hasn' complained about it; I think it keeps him room rather snappy for no effort on his part.

Is this going to last all day? I suddenly need to spec out a new system around a couple of these babies...

Re: Woot.com

I think they'll be sold out in a few hours.

From GPUreview.com, it looks like the 7900GS is a 7900GT with:
  • 4 fewer fragment pipelines (20 instead of 24)
  • 1 less vertex pipeline (7 vs 8)
  • 4 fewer texture units (20 vs 24)
  • same # of raster operators (16)
  • Core and memory clockspeeds are the same.

Re: Woot.com

Awesome, I just bought one. Thanks a lot Tau! I'm about to start buying components once school starts to build a new PC. I was originally planning to get a GeForce 7600GT for somewhere around $160. This is a great deal.

Re: Woot.com

This is one of the best deals they've had on woot in the last couple of weeks. Get this while they're still in stock!

Re: Woot.com

I bought 2. Hmmm... mobo recommendations? I'm thinking to wait a couple months for the ASUS 590 SLI board. Guess I should start a new thread.

Re: Woot.com

Bah, saw this post at 6am when I'm sure there were plenty left.. Thought to myself, "What's so special about a 7600GS?" and went to work. Browsed my RSS feeds at work and saw newegg selling a 7600GS for like $90 and came back to this thread after work... when I saw that it was a 7900GS. That's what I get for reading right after I wake up.
