Yeah. I decided it was time to upgrade, so I went with a Core 2 Duo. First time I've bought an Intel since '95 or so. Just couldn't ignore those benchmarks or the price tag.

I also decided to go with an ATI x1900xtx over a new NVidia card. First time I've bought something besides NVidia since they came around But currently, until the end of October, MSI is offering a $150 mail in rebate for their x1900xtx if you buy it from select online retailers (Zipzoomfly is one). I couldn't ignore the huge performace increase at the $330 range the XTX has over NVidia.
