    Hey Gamers,

I'm a moderator at SaySwap.com and if you have any questions for me please feel free to ask.

Game trading sites are becoming way more popular because of the high prices that the gaming industry is putting on their games. Many gamers do not want to pay $50+ for a game. So gamers instead trade games to save the cost on getting a new game.

SaySwap.com works well this way, because we work on trying to give the members of the site what they want. At first SaySwap.com was just a random point system trading community. Though many members wanted a direct trade feature added so they can trade with certain members whenever they wanted, and request games from members. So we created that feature for them.

Unlike Goozex, we have 3 levels for points. 10, 20 and 30. The reason being for this is to cut the cost on games. If we were to put points up to 60, then why bother trading it. When you could just go buy it for the same price at $60? Also the point system is this way, because once the game is used the depreciation rate goes down on games. So a $60 game should be around $30-$40 used rate.

As a member when you sign up for SaySwap.com you receive 30 Purchase Points right off the start and 50% off your first trading token which will be $2.45. This means you can have any game you want on the site for only $2.45 once you sign up. That is unlike any other game trading site.

At SaySwap.com the trading is secure and trustworthy. If a game isn't received or sent, we can track if they shipped the game by checking our mailing system. SaySwap.com pays for the shipping on all games in the USA. All members are refunded points if any trade was not complete so your money will never go to waste. On other sites this is not possible.

SaySwap.com has something most other game trading sites do not have and that is their own message board for every user. Any member can write on your profile message board. This way you can interact with members before trading.

We are always looking for suggestions for the site also. So if you have any please feel free to tell us. And also if you have any questions, we are here to answer them.

Yup, this is all good. Considering the discussion about SaySwap and other similar services I expressly invited them to talk about their product and what makes it different compared to others.

I had a conversation today with wildminnesota and they have some interesting things in the works. I'm going to try out their system myself over the next couple days to see how it all works first-hand.

I'm going to purge the posts in the thread that went off-topic, so if you see this and are a bit confused, no worries.

What's my cut for advertising it here?

Yeah, I don't understand this, either. If I receive an empty box from some scammer, I'll get my points back, but where do those points come from? The system won't work if points are magically refunded on every other transaction, will it? Sure, I, as an individual, am not entirely displeased since I got my points back, but eventually the system will be unable to support that type of negative economy.

When you trade for a game you are not giving your game to get someone elses game - you are handing over a virtual currency to that person in exchange for his game (i.e. 10-30 purchase points) - If a member was to get wronged (and it happens infrequently - similar to eBay level stats) - the members would get their purchase points and trading token refunded - however it does not result in any economic inbalance as the system basically corrects itself as if the trade never happened in the first place. Also, there is eBay like rating system, ability for users to leave feedback on trades, a "swapscore" system which indicates the community performance of that specific member. So, effectively there are measure in place to A) refund and protect members on all trades B) see a users rating / swapscore and feedback and C) you can pick whom you trade with if you like.

You don't have to do a 'direct trade'. That feature is just for when you want to use it. All you really need is 30 points and a token to get a game. You don't necessarily have to send a game out (or trade).

That is correct, you don't need to just send games to receive Purchase Points. You can also buy Purchase Points to get games if you don't want to trade your own games.

But how does SaySwap know if someone sent a game or not? And if SaySwap has to refund a hundred folk's points and tokens in one day, how can that not affect the SaySwap economy?

SaySwap, can tell if the member shipped a game or not through our shipping database. SaySwap pays for the shipping in the USA so we can check our records to see if a member has shipped a game or not.

If there is a reoccurrence of a member being accused of not shipping a game, a full investigation will be done on the member and suspension of account will be preceded on results.

I think what he means is I could ship an envelope with a busted cdrw in it and you wouldn't be any wiser unless you had reason to believe one party over the other. You can track the shipping but you can't track what is being shipped. I think that is what he is meaning, but I could be wrong.

    Re: SaySwap.com

Hello all. Just to let you know, I was searching for reviews on google about SaySwap and found this forum. I'm glad that I found this because I have some input, including a question.

First, let me just say to those that are afraid getting scammed: Seriously, you get 30 points and you need to buy a credit for $2.95 to get a game. If you DO get scammed, I'm sure you won't lost too much sleep if you get scammed over a gallon of gas.

My question is quite simple actually. What is the definition of the word "Case jacket?" Is it commonly reffered to as "the box?" Personally, I refer to a plastic sleeve as the jacket and the outer, rectangual holder itself as the "box." I know its silly, but I just want to be sure. Thanks.

On DVD-type games, it's just the paper insert inside the plastic case.

Hmmm...I see...so the plastic BOX itself never gets shipped, correct? Thats how they save on shipping, too, Im sure.

If a member has been reported doing this more then once they will be suspended from the site. Member's feedback will help pick out bad traders and good traders. The bad traders will be suspended if the rating gets too low or if they are doing something really bad, they will be suspended immediately.

What we mean by "Case Jacket" is the outer insert of the case. So members can use their old case from a game they traded previously for the insert and make it look like new.

Your right it does make the shipping cheaper, though the shipping is provided for the USA to ship in the USA. Though some members do like to ship games in their case.
