For Sale: Corsair Dual Channel Kit (DDR400, Platinum Series)
Okay, I've had a spare pair of XMS Dual Channel Kit DDR400 Ram lying around in it's original plastic case. I bought it about a year ago for my current system, but since my mobo refuses to boot with the ram, I thought I'd try and sell it here. I've never overclocked it or anything, just plugged it in and removed it.
The Corsair Part No. on each stick is: CMX512-3200C2PTv1.5
It is the Platinum Series.
A Similiar pair on NewEgg still retails for $135.
I'm selling it for $80, free shipping via USPS Priority.
PM me if you are interested.
Note: I will only ship within the Continental 48 (United States).Acreo Aeneas

Is $80 too high a asking price?

No, it is a pretty good price.
I thought about it but am unsure it would get along with my Crucial RAM I allready have. It is 3t and I allready have two gigs of it, so I doubt it would help me anyway. I think I am CPU (P4 3.0c) and Vid Card (Radeon X800XT-PE) limited right now anyway and will prob. build a new rig in a year, maybe two.

Well if you are going to run the RAM in dual channel, I don't suggest buying it. It's never a good idea to mix and match with dual channel.
Hmm...anyone else interested?Acreo Aeneas

There is currently one interested buyer through Amazon.com Marketplace. I am awaiting his payment. If he buys, then the RAM is no longer offered here, if he fails to make payment, it is still up for grabs at above stated price.

DDR2 along with PCI-E is fairly recent. In fact, the DDR2 and PCI-E hit mainstream boards just around August 2005. And a lot of systems still use DDR 1 standard.
