    Wanted: mATX/ATX Case

    I'm looking for a decent mATX/ATX case.

A little background so hopefully I can get some good advice. I currently have an X-Dreamer II but when I got my new Ultra modular power supply I had to remove the top exhaust fan because the PS is long enough it takes up that space on the top of the case.

It's gone down-hill from there because I decided to monitor my BIOS temps after realizing my 120mm exhaust fan had burned out and replaced it with an 80mm fan I had lying around.

Right now BIOS is showing 41C/104F system temperature and 52C/125F CPU (P4 2.66Ghz) temperature and that's at idle. House temp is ~74F.

I'm running 2 bottom front 80mm intake fans, a side 80mm fan and now an 80mm back exhaust fan. I'm guessing the loss of the top exhaust fan has messed up airflow in the case.

I'm no longer on the 'gotta have a plexi side panel' case kick like I was a few years ago so I'm interested in a simple case that has good airflow and a decent price . I don't need a power supply as the Ultra has done great.

Anyone have a decent case lying around they want to sell?

In my opinion Thermaltake makes the best cases for the money.

Check this one out. It is silver and has a window but it has 2 120mm fans and a 90mm fan

That thing is gorgeous. I have bought a few things for Xoxide before and have always come away happy.

The way its setup is quite different, and after you take a look you'll see why.

What do you guys think of this one?

    http://www.microcenter.com/byos/byos...duct_id=250924

It's a simple, mid-size CoolMaster. Two fans, 120MM and it looks like maybe a duct for over the CPU fan.

I know it's not at the level of the suggestions above, but all I really want is a simple case with good airflow. It appears to have a removable front filter, which is a plus because with all of our wooden floors the dust kicks up easy.

How effective are the filters? Do they really help with keeping the inside clean?

Well, I decided to wait and see if anything went on sale with rebates today and it did. Glad I waited. I picked up an Antec SOLO for $95 with a $40 rebate.
